Itinerary
- Day 1
Kigali to Kisoro
After breakfast, you'll head out early from Kigali and drive northwest toward Ruhengeri through Rwanda's rolling landscape. The route takes you through Musanze and eventually to the Uganda border at Kyanika, then continues to Kisoro where your hotel is waiting. Once you check in, the rest of the afternoon is yours to rest and prepare for the trek ahead.

Landmarks/POIs Kigali Ruhengeri/Musanze Kisoro - Day 2
Mountain Gorilla Trek
You'll leave around 7:30am for the 30-minute drive to the National Park headquarters. After handling the park formalities, you'll head out to track mountain gorillas through the Virunga slopes. The experience includes spending about an hour observing a gorilla family in their natural setting. The trek itself can go up to 3 hours or longer depending on conditions, moving through steep and rugged terrain at higher elevation. By around 1pm, you're back at the lodge with the afternoon free to rest and process what you've seen.

Landmarks/POIs Virunga Mountains - Day 3
Kisoro to Kigali
After breakfast, you'll drive back to Kigali through Rwanda's hilly terrain. The drive takes around 4 to 5 hours depending on road conditions. You'll arrive with enough time to get to your hotel or head straight to the airport for your departure flight.
