  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Reykjavik

    After you land, the Flybus shuttle gets you to your hotel in Reykjavik. From there, the afternoon and evening are open for you to wander around the city on your own and get a feel for the place.

  2. Day 2

    Reykjanes Peninsula - Blue Lagoon - Hella

    You'll start with a quick orientation tour through Reykjavik, then head out to the Reykjanes Peninsula to see fishing villages and hot springs. The Blue Lagoon is next, where you can soak and relax, then you'll make your way to Hella. Later that evening, look for Northern Lights from your accommodation garden.

    Eyjafjallajökull - Skógafoss - Hella

    This day focuses on Iceland's natural features. You'll see the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, then check out Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. There's the Skogar Folk Museum to walk through, and you can choose between a glacier hike on Solheimajokull or exploring Reynisfjara's black lava beach and bird cliffs. Another Northern Lights hunt happens that evening.

  4. Day 4

    Golden Circle - Reykjavik

    Travel back toward Reykjavik on the Golden Circle route. You'll stop at a local horse stable, tour a geothermal greenhouse, see the hot springs and geysers at Geysir (Strokkur erupts roughly every 10 minutes), and view Gullfoss waterfall. Thingvellir National Park is also on the drive. Your evening is free, or you can book an optional Northern Lights cruise.

    Grabrok - Budardalur - Isafj Ördur

    Head west to new terrain. Grabrok, a 3,400-year-old volcanic crater, offers 360-degree valley views. After lunch in Budardalur, you'll travel along the fjords of Isafjardardjup where whale sightings are possible. Stop at Litlibaer turf house for waffles and coffee, then arrive in Isafj Ördur for a three-night stay. Join an evening Northern Lights search to kick off your time there.

A nature walk and meal help you recharge. Explore Isafj Ördur's colorful houses and cobblestone streets, then search for Northern Lights as darkness falls.

You'll return to Isafj Ördur for an evening stroll and Northern Lights watch.

Arrive in Reykjavik by afternoon and explore Hallgrimskirkja church, the university campus, and the harbor. End at the Icelandic Bar to try fermented shark and Brennivín as a final celebration.

    This Outlander tour was wonderful. It was booked with Rabbies which was excellent. The group was a group of 15 people which I liked. The bugs driver/ tour guide Lizzie was fantastic. Super sweet and chock full of stories and knowledge. The itinerary and overall organization was good. I felt we did a lot more Outlander heavy stuff on day 1 and day 4 which I loved. In the town of Falkland, we had dinner and further spend much time exploring there and got tons do some photos but that felt a bit rushed and this town I looked forward to see while area small, I wanted to soak in a bit more. We entered all castles with no issues as 99% of them came pre booked or were free to enter with exception of midhope castle. The accommodations provided were both excellent in my opinion. I was very happy where I stayed and had a full Scottish breakfast at both places. During the tour there were plenty of times bathroom breaks and a lunch break. The tour bus was easy to find in Edinburgh with the instructions provided and we were dropped off same location with ease. I highly recommend.
