Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Huataraco Community
After arriving from Quito, you'll get transferred to the lodge and settle in with a refreshing drink. The afternoon brings a hands-on workshop where you'll learn about essential oil distillation, then you'll join a Kichwa family for a cleansing ceremony with an indigenous healer. You'll make traditional chicha and try out blowguns and spears to see how you compare with the locals.

- Day 2
Jungle Safari and Rainforest Exploration
You can join an optional bird watching safari starting at 6:00 AM if you're an early riser, then breakfast comes at 8:00 AM. From 9:00 AM to noon, a guided forest walk takes you through the Amazon where you'll learn about local plants, animals, medicinal uses, and survival skills. After lunch at 1:00 PM, you'll craft your own chocolate at 4:00 PM, and then head out for a night walk from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM to spot nocturnal wildlife.

- Day 3
Integrated Farm and Napo River Adventure
Breakfast starts your day at 7:30 AM, followed by a visit to an integrated farm from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM where you'll taste native bee honey, cacao fruits, and tropical fruits while learning how cacao gets fermented. From 10:30 AM to noon, you'll check out the Yachana Foundation's conservation work, then join a cooking class at 12:30 PM to prepare traditional Maito de Pescado. The afternoon has you tubing down the Napo River from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM with chances to swim and try artisanal gold washing.

- Day 4
Primary Forest Hike and River Activities
Starting early at 6:00 AM, you'll hike 6 km into primary forest where guides teach survival skills and point out edible and medicinal plants. There's a jungle picnic breakfast along the way before you head back for a midday break and lunch at 1:00 PM. In the afternoon, you can try artisanal gold washing by the Napo River, go fishing, or paddle around looking for birds from a canoe, then dinner happens at 7:00 PM.

Departure from Amazon Lodge
You'll wake to the jungle's sounds and have a final breakfast with rainforest views all around. Before leaving the lodge, there's time to reflect on everything you've experienced. Departing knowing that your visit supported conservation and sustainable tourism efforts.
