Itinerary
- Day 1
Bilbao
You'll get transferred to your hotel when you arrive in Bilbao, then the day is open for you to do what you want. The Guggenheim Museum is right there if you're interested in art and architecture, or you could head to Casco Viejo and walk around the narrow streets and old plazas. A riverside walk along the Nervión is nice if you want something more relaxed to get your bearings.

- Day 2
Costa de Bizkaia - Bilbao
After breakfast you're heading out to explore the estuary and industrial heritage around Bilbao. You'll see the Bizkaia Bridge, drive past Butrón Castle, and check out the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. San Juan de Gaztelugatxe comes into view with its dramatic cliffside setting, then you'll stop in Bermeo to try pintxos, the local tapas. Gernika is next, where you can visit the Casa de Juntas and see the historic Tree of Gernika. By 2:30 PM you're back in Bilbao for lunch, followed by a guided walk through the city centre and old town to get familiar with the main areas.

- Day 3
Biarritz - San Sebastián - Bilbao
You'll cross into France for a guided tour of Biarritz, a coastal town known for its upscale feel and great views of the Bay of Biscay. From there, you head to Saint-Jean-de-Luz for a walk through town and a local sweet tasting. Then it's on to San Sebastián where you get a walking tour plus free time to explore the city on your own. Mount Igueldo gives you panoramic views over the bay before the drive back to Bilbao.

- Day 4
Vitoria - Bilbao
The Rioja wine region is your destination today, with vineyards stretching across the landscape. You'll walk through Laguardia, a well-preserved medieval village, then do a guided tour and wine tasting at a winery. After that, you have time to wander around Laguardia yourself. Next stop is Vitoria, the Basque Country's capital, where you get a panoramic tour followed by a walk through the old centre and historic quarters. Before heading back to Bilbao, you'll taste some high-quality Basque chocolates and sweets from a local artisan shop.
