Mexico City
You'll arrive in Mexico and get transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and get settled. Your guide reaches out later in the afternoon to touch base.

- Day 2
Teotihuacan
After breakfast, you'll head to Plaza of the Three Cultures in Mexico City. From there, it's about a 40 km trip to Teotihuacan where you'll walk through the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, the Temple of Quetzalpapalotl, and the Citadel along the Avenue of the Dead. You'll stop at a local artisan center and then visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the way back. By evening you're free to do as you like.

- Day 3
Mexico City to Puebla
You have the morning to yourself in Mexico City. After lunch, you head to the bus station for the 135 km journey to Puebla on a regular coach. Once you arrive at the Puebla bus station, another transfer takes you to your hotel. The afternoon is open for you to wander around this colonial city that dates back to 1531.

- Day 4
Puebla
You'll take a 5-hour trip to Ex Hacienda Chautla, an 18th-century estate with an English-style castle sitting on an artificial lake surrounded by forests. After that, you visit Val Quirico, a complex designed to look like a medieval European village with shops and cafés. You get back to Puebla with free time to check out the city on your own.

Cholula - Chipilo - Atlixco
A 6-hour excursion takes you through Cholula to see San Francisco Acatepec, Santa María Tonantzintla, San Gabriel Convent, and the Royal Chapel. You'll climb to La Virgin of Los Remedios Sanctuary at the top of the Great Pyramid. Then you head to Chipilo, an Italian immigrant community known for cheese, where there's a tasting included. Later you stop in Atlixco to explore the historic center, see murals on the Wide Staircase, check out the Floral Clock, and visit the Magical Garden and Glass Viewpoint. Back in Puebla, you have free time.

Puebla to Oaxaca
You'll travel through mountainous regions with scenic views on your way to Oaxaca, arriving by late morning. An included tour takes you to this UNESCO World Heritage city founded by the Aztecs. You head up to Monte Albán, an ancient Zapotec site that rises 400 meters above the Oaxaca Valley. Admission and a guided tour are covered. After that, you have free time to explore Oaxaca further.

- Day 7
San Pablo Villa de Mitla to Tuxtla Gutiérrez
Start early heading out toward San Pablo Villa de Mitla for a stop at the 16th-century Church of San Pablo. The town's quiet streets give you a real sense of what a traditional Pueblo Mágico feels like, so plan to wander around a bit. After that, the route takes you through Oaxaca's mountain roads toward the Isthmus region. You'll have lunch provided during the drive, then continue on to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, arriving by late afternoon around 75°F/24°C.

- Day 8
Sumidero Canyon - Mayan Villages - San Cristóbal
You board a boat to explore Cañón del Sumidero, an impressive canyon that's almost 1 km deep and 14 km long. Then you walk through Chiapa del Corzo, a colonial town. You visit Mayan villages inhabited by Tzotziles Indians, checking out traditional dress and weaving workshops in Zinacantán, and stopping at San Juan Chamula's unique church where Christian and pre-Columbian traditions blend. Later you head to San Cristóbal de las Casas, a beautiful colonial city from 1528, with the afternoon free to explore.

- Day 9
San Cristóbal to Palenque
You travel through mountain scenery, stopping in Mayan communities that have kept their languages and traditions alive. You pass through Ocosingo, the regional capital. Then you reach Agua Azul with its National Park entrance included and see over 50 waterfalls ranging from 3 to 30 meters tall. Lunch is part of the package. You can walk or swim at the waterfalls and also visit the impressive waterfall at Misol Ha. You arrive in Palenque with dinner and accommodation all set.

- Day 10
Palenque to Campeche
You explore the Palenque archaeological site, a Mayan city surrounded by jungle. Admission and a local guide come with the tour as you walk through temples, pyramids, and the ball game site. Later you travel through Tabasco toward the Gulf of Mexico and arrive in Campeche, a Mexican port city with colonial buildings and 17th-century fortifications that were built to protect against pirates. Dinner is covered.

- Day 11
Campeche to Mérida
You head to Yucatán state, arriving in Mérida after just over two hours. A guided tour takes you through this vibrant capital with colonial and Maya heritage, visiting the fortified Cathedral of Mérida, the limestone Church of the Third Order, and the House of Montejo, a 16th-century mansion that shows off Plateresque colonial architecture. The afternoon is free, and you might check out the Museum of the Maya World on your own. An evening transfer to the Zócalo is included where you can grab dinner and take in the local atmosphere.

- Day 12
Izamal - Chichén Itzá - Río Lagartos
You explore Yucatán state, starting in Izamal, one of Mexico's nicest cities and a declared Magic town. From there you continue to Chichén Itzá, a World Heritage Site and the most important Mayan civilization site around. You see the mythical Pyramid of Kukulcán and the Warriors' Temple, with admission and a Mayan cuisine lunch included. The day ends in Río Lagartos, a small fishing village in the middle of a Biosphere Reserve.

- Day 13
Valladolid - Cenote Choj Ha - Cancún
You spend the day with nature, taking an included boat ride that lasts over 2 hours into the Biosphere Reserve. You'll spot crocodiles in the mangroves and watch for pelicans and pink flamingos. There's a mud bath with sulfur, minerals and salts that exfoliate and soften skin. You then travel to Valladolid, Yucatán's third largest city with a nice historic center. You visit Cenote Choj Ha, managed by the local Mayan community, where you walk through jungle to a dry cave and swim in the lake inside the wet cave. After that, you head to Cancún, arriving late afternoon.
