What people love about In-depth Cultural Tours in Mexico
- Riviera Maya Adventure 7D/6N
Cannot fault Bamba Experience. This was my first time solo travelling, and they made it so easy. There is a downloadable itinerary with a chat option if you come across any problems. I had a couple of queries along the way, which Bamba quickly sorted. The hostels were brilliant, and all very close to the bus stations, making it easy to get from one place to another. My only small gripe is that the one in Tulum had no AC. I am from Scotland, and found this very difficult! The included Chichen Itza trip was the highlight, and the tour guide Frank was fantastic. I thoroughly recommend this trip, and would be happy to book with Bamba again in the future.
- Mexico Unplugged (from Mexico City to Isla Cozumel)
This tour is a great way to see Mexico with the safety in numbers, but without rigidity of every activity and day planned out for you. You have the freedom to choose whether you want an activity crammed day or just a chilled out one sitting around chatting to new friends and enjoying a bottle of wine on a rooftop terrace somewhere. It is also great to have a guide who can give you tips on the best things to do and eat at each location, but you're not obliged to taking their advice. I would recommend that you try all the food that's suggested as they do know best :)
- Aztecs & Mayas
The Best of Chiapas and Yucatan tour was absolutely fantastic! The sights, food, tour guides, history, and hotels were lots of fun and I cannot recommend this tour enough! Some pointers for future travelers: 1) Convert your money in pesos. No one takes EUR, USD, or any other form of currency. Bring a debit card to get more cash. 2) This one tour had two different operating companies and the communication was sometimes spotty. I had to take a later flight from Mexico City to Tuxtla Gutierrez and the scheduled shuttle from the airport to the hotel would not accommodate, so I was on my own to find a ride for the first leg of the trip. For the second leg, the driver was told a different time to arrive at the hotel, which led to confusion. Despite this, definitely go on this tour. The archeological sites are fascinating, the coffee is better than anywhere else, and the people are friendly!
