- Day 1
Halifax
You'll arrive in Halifax and get settled into your accommodation in the city center. This evening there's a welcome meeting where you'll meet your tour guide and the other travelers, so you can learn what to expect over the coming days.

Peggy's Cove - Lunenburg - Halifax
Head out to Peggy's Cove for breakfast with views of that famous lighthouse everyone photographs. From there you'll drive along the south shore to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage site with well-preserved colonial buildings. The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic gives you a good sense of the town's seafaring past and importance to the region.

Charlottetown
Start the morning at the Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Centre learning about the Mi'kmaq people and their history in this region. Then you'll cross the Confederation Bridge into Prince Edward Island and settle into Charlottetown for the next two nights. There's a theatre performance with local talent at the Confederation Centre of the Arts this evening.

- Day 4
Charlottetown
This morning is yours to either rest or explore Charlottetown on your own (a complimentary walking tour is available if you want it). In the afternoon, drive up the north shore seeing the red cliffs and white beaches of Prince Edward Island National Park. You'll stop at Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place, then wrap up with a traditional hall-style lobster supper.

Baddeck
Take the ferry across the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia, then continue to Cape Breton Island via the Canso Causeway. After you arrive, there's a sightseeing boat tour on Bras d'Or Lake. You'll settle into Baddeck for two nights in this charming village.

- Day 6
Cape Breton Highlands National Park - Baddeck
The Cabot Trail drive is the highlight for many people on this tour, winding around Cape Breton's rocky northern shore with stops at scenic lookouts. You'll drive through Cape Breton Highlands National Park and visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site to learn about the inventor's work and life.

North Sydney - Port aux Basques
Visit the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, which reconstructs about one-fifth of the 1744 New France settlement and gives you a real sense of life back then. Later you'll head to North Sydney and board the Marine Atlantic ferry for an overnight crossing to Port aux Basques in Newfoundland.

- Day 8
Port au Choix
After disembarking the ferry, you'll travel through the Codroy Valley and pass through Gros Morne National Park (you'll explore it more thoroughly later). Continue to Port au Choix on the northwest coast to learn about the ancient cultures that have lived on this peninsula for over 5,500 years.

L'Anse au Clair
Board the ferry from St. Barbe across the Strait of Belle Isle to reach Labrador. You'll visit Red Bay National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage site where Basque whalers operated in the 16th century. The night is spent here in Labrador.

L'Anse aux Meadows - St. Anthony
Head back to Newfoundland and visit L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, the first UNESCO World Heritage Site identified for its cultural significance. This is where Vikings lived over a thousand years ago, making it historically significant for understanding early European exploration.

- Day 11
Cow Head
Early morning whale-watching boat tour off St. Anthony where you might see minke whales, humpbacks, or white-sided dolphins along with coastal views. After that you'll drive to Cow Head in Gros Morne National Park for a two-night stay. If you're visiting in June or early July, there's a chance to spot icebergs.

Landmarks Gros Morne National Park - Day 12
Gros Morne National Park - Cow Head
Spend the day exploring Gros Morne National Park with a scenic boat tour on Bonne Bay where bald eagles are frequently seen near the fjord. You'll also visit the Tablelands, a flat-topped mountain made of rock that normally exists deep within the Earth's mantle. A second night in Cow Head follows.

Take one final drive through Gros Morne National Park with your camera ready to capture the landscape. You'll be dropped at Deer Lake regional airport by approximately 11:30 AM where the tour concludes.
