    Halifax

    You'll arrive in Halifax and get settled into your accommodation right in the center of this lively Atlantic city. This evening there's a welcome meeting with your tour guide and the rest of the group to kick things off.

  2. Day 2

    Halifax to Moncton

    Head out to New Brunswick where you'll see the Bay of Fundy and check out those famous high tides along the coast. You'll stop at Joggins Fossil Cliffs, a UNESCO site with fossils from 300 million years ago. Later there's a lobster dinner on an actual lobster boat before heading to Moncton for the night.

  3. Day 3

    Moncton to Saint John

    Start the morning at Hopewell Rocks to see those tall flowerpot-shaped rock formations shaped by the world's highest tides. Then you'll drive through Fundy National Park on your way to Saint John, Canada's first incorporated city. There's an included city tour showing you the Reversing Falls where the Bay of Fundy tides make the river flow backward twice a day. You're staying two nights here.

  4. Day 4

    Saint John to St Andrews by-the-Sea to Saint John

    Check out the coastal town of St. Andrews by-the-Sea with an included whale watching boat tour if the weather cooperates. Spend your afternoon wandering around at your own pace, meeting locals, looking at the architecture, and seeing the marine life. Then it's back to Saint John for dinner.

  5. Day 5

    Saint John to Digby

    Take the ferry back to Nova Scotia this morning and you'll arrive in Digby, known for its scallops. Get checked into your place which has nice views of the Annapolis Basin on the Bay of Fundy. Dinner's included tonight.

  6. Day 6

    Digby to Halifax

    Spend the day in the Annapolis Valley where French Acadians started their first settlement at Grand Pre in the early 1600s, now a UNESCO site. You'll do a tour and tasting at a local winery, then drive back to Halifax for the night.

  7. Day 7

    Halifax

    Start early in the fishing village of Peggy's Cove with breakfast and views of one of the world's most photographed lighthouses. Travel along the South Shore to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Town and one of the best-preserved colonial settlements in the region. You'll walk around and visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. Head back to Halifax for the evening.

You'll check in to your Charlottetown accommodation and see a theatre performance by local entertainers at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

Visit Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place that inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery's books. Wrap up with an included traditional lobster supper.

    Ferry across the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia, then head to Cape Breton Island using the Canso Causeway. Stop at the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck to see what this inventor accomplished. Check into your place overlooking Bras d'Or Lake where you'll spend two nights. There's a special boat tour of Bras d'Or Lake in the evening.

    Baddeck

    Drive the Cabot Trail, one of North America's best scenic routes. You'll follow Cape Breton's northern shore past rugged terrain and rocky landscapes leading to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park plateaus. There are plenty of lookout points along the way with great views of the island's dramatic coastline.

    Baddeck to Halifax

    Excellent tour. Rob McQueen was a fantastic tour guide. It was very educational , which I liked because. I was there to learn about the place my Nana came from. Weather was perfect. Accommodation was mostly great, food was great. We covered so much territory in 13 days it was fabulous!

    I have back issues and uncomfortable sitting for long periods. Approximately how long is spent on a bus each day?

      This is a fantastic trip however there is a few longer bus rides on this trip. The most you'll spend on a bus is about 4 hours. That being said we stop every two hours for you to stretch your legs, take bathroom breaks and get supplies.
