  • Allison
This was a wonderful trip, expertly planned for maximum enjoyment. The accommodations and food were above any of my expectations. The hiking plan and campsites were well thought out so as not to be exhausting. The guide's knowledge of the area was excellent and added to the enjoyment of the trip.

Betsy, our guide, provided experienced tips on adjusting to the altitude, guided us to restaurants with delicious foods, advised us of next day activities, modeled a perfect hiking pace for our group, encouraged our hike for individual abilities (slow and steady), celebrated when we finished a peak and enjoyed a dance along the way. She and the Peruvian guide provided Hictorical, botanical and location information But kept our health and safety a priority. They made me feel confident in my abilities and were supportive as we traversed four days of mountains. The food and porters were amazing! It was much more than a hike. It was a hiking and personal accomplishment, a spiritual travel, an education of Inca culture, appreciation of outstanding mountains, glaciers and flowers and an overall ?owow? experience!

After a great trip to the Grand Canyon 3 years ago, we wanted to use Wildland for our international travel. And Wildland exceeded our expectations! Our Wildland guide was an amazing host, and in combination with our local guides, the whole group provided not only a safe and enjoyable trek, but also a culturally immersive experience that was so unique and special that we never could have pulled off on our own!
