7 Day Easter Island Itinerary, incl. Hanga Roa and Rano Raraku
Ancient mysteries come alive in this 7-day Chilean adventure across 4 key sites: Rano Raraku's quarry, Orongo ceremonial village, Ahu Tongariki's 15 moai, and Anakena's beaches. Activities include sunset at Ahu Tahai, snorkeling near Motu Nui, and horseback riding to Ana Kakenga caves.
- Day 1
Arrival in Hanga Roa
Fly into Mataveri International Airport and take a 15-20 minute transfer to your Hanga Roa hotel. Book your Santiago flights for morning arrival to make the most of day one. Take an evening walk to Ahu Tahai, just 15 minutes from central Hanga Roa. Pack a light jacket for the ocean breeze and get ready to photograph the moai silhouettes against the sunset.
- Day 2
Rano Raraku & Tongariki
Begin at Ahu Tongariki to watch sunrise behind the 15 moai. Next, visit Rano Raraku quarry, home to nearly 900 moai. The quarry paths can get slippery so wear shoes with good grip. Spend your afternoon at Anakena Beach, where you can swim in surprisingly warm Pacific waters and relax on white sand that sometimes has a pink tint.
- Day 3
Rano Kau & Orongo Village
- Day 4
Beach Day at Anakena
- Day 5
Cave Exploration & Ocean Activities
- Day 6

7 Days in Atacama Desert, incl. San Pedro and Calama
The Chilean desert reveals its secrets over seven days at Valle de la Luna, Rainbow Valley, and Cejar Lagoon. The itinerary alternates between Calama and San Pedro de Atacama, featuring 8 major sites including Puritama Hot Springs and Yerbas Buenas petroglyphs.
- Day 1
Calama to San Pedro de Atacama
Take a 90-minute transfer from Calama Airport to San Pedro de Atacama. Plan to go stargazing in the desert that evening. The Atacama's clear skies and high altitude make it perfect for viewing stars. Nights get cold here, often below 40°F (4°C). The best time to see stars is between 8-10 PM. A traveler shared, "Pack a thermos of hot tea and warm layers—you'll be standing still while stargazing and the desert wind can be biting."
- Day 2
Atacama Salt Flats and Lagoons
Visit the beautiful Cejar and Piedra lagoons in Chile's largest salt flat. You can float here just like in the Dead Sea because of the high salt content. Go early to beat the heat and crowds. Bring water shoes to protect your feet from sharp salt crystals. Pack fresh water to rinse off after swimming. End your day at Tebinquinche Lagoon to see where the desert meets the sky.
- Day 3
Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley)
Visit Moon Valley in late afternoon when the light is perfect for photos. Wear good shoes because the ground is uneven and sandy. It gets very hot here, so bring at least 2 liters of water per person. Stay until sunset to see the rocks turn pink and purple. Remember you'll need to arrange your own way back to San Pedro since all tours finish at the same time.
- Day 4
Rainbow Valley and Petroglyphs
Start your morning at Yerbas Buenas to see ancient petroglyphs, then go to Rainbow Valley. You'll need about 2 hours to hike the colorful rock formations. Go early before it gets hot and wear a good hat since there's no shade. Spend your afternoon at Salado River valley where the walks are easier and the desert views are amazing.
- Day 5
Puritama Hot Springs
Visit these natural thermal pools in the Andes (28-31°C). The springs are very high up (11,500 feet), so take it slow if you're not used to the altitude. Bring water shoes and a quick-dry towel. Go early for fewer crowds and milder sun. One visitor said, "The contrast between the cool mountain air and warm springs is incredible, but take breaks if you start feeling lightheaded from the altitude."
- Day 6
Hidden Lagoons of Baltinache

7 Day Chile Itinerary, incl. Santiago and Lake District
Chilean diversity shines through 7 cities from Santiago to Puerto Montt over 7 days. Landmark visits include La Moneda Palace, Villarrica Volcano, and Petrohué Falls, with accommodations at three 4-star hotels.
- Day 1
Santiago
- Day 2
Valparaíso Day Trip
Drive 1.5 hours to Valparaíso in the morning. Get around the historic port city's hills using the funicular system - a multi-ride ticket will save you time and money. Check out Plaza Echaurren and the street art in Concepción and Alegre Hills. On your way back stop at Casas del Bosque winery in Casablanca Valley. Book the 4:30 PM tasting to avoid the big tour groups.
- Day 3
Temuco to Pucón
Take an early flight to Temuco (1 hour 20 minutes) then drive 1.5 hours to Pucón. Visit Villarrica Volcano in the afternoon but bring good hiking shoes for the sharp rocks on the lava fields. Pack extra layers since it gets quite cold at higher elevations. A visit to the hot springs after your hike will help with sore muscles.
- Day 4
Huerquehue National Park
- Day 5
Puerto Varas via Osorno Volcano
- Day 6
Frutillar and Return to Santiago
- Day 7

What people love about 7-day Chile tours
- 7-days "W Trekk" discovering Torres del Paine National Park
Visit incredible places, I always saw them on television or online, until I decided to come to Argentina and take a tour. I was lucky to hire this wonderful company. The meals are very rich and plentiful. One piece of advice that Gabriela gave me, that was the person who got in touch with me on behalf of the company, was to wear comfortable shoes and warm clothes. Thanks for that advice, I had no problem.
- 6-Days trip to Easter Island
Magnificent, incredible, indescribable and unrepeatable, I highly recommend doing this incredible tour. You will not regret from minute 0 this is the best.
- Mountains and Glaciers: El Calafate and Torres del Paine
Amazing trip! Eve was on every detail of the trip and she even helped us to book the domestic flights needed for the trip. In my opinion El Calafate is a destination that everyone should visit in Argentina and the visit to Perito Moreno Glacier, the guide Paula was very knowledge and extremely experience and the full day to Torres del Paine is a great option if you don't have many days to stay inside the national park. The hotels selected by People Travel were incredible, specially Altiplanic Hotel at Puerto Natales, unspechless.
