  • Day 1

    Arrival in Hanga Roa

    Fly into Mataveri International Airport and take a 15-20 minute transfer to your Hanga Roa hotel. Book your Santiago flights for morning arrival to make the most of day one. Take an evening walk to Ahu Tahai, just 15 minutes from central Hanga Roa. Pack a light jacket for the ocean breeze and get ready to photograph the moai silhouettes against the sunset.

The Atacama's clear skies and high altitude make it perfect for viewing stars. Nights get cold here, often below 40°F (4°C). The best time to see stars is between 8-10 PM.
