- FHFelicity· December 27th, 2023An incredible trip with OneSeed - I was debating between this and a G Adventures tour and so glad I chose them! I had only three people in my group and the guide was the loveliest man, and so kind. It was the best way to do the W Trek and took out all of the stress! Highly recommend to all thinking of booking with this company! They were so good in the run up too, and even helped me with other parts of my Patagonia itinery.Show moreOneSeed Expeditions commented on this reviewThank you so much for the kind review, Felicity! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your time with our crew in Patagonia and we hope you can join us again soon. Happy travels in the meantime!Trip date: December 2023
- DTdiem· February 26th, 2023Roberto and Mauricio are the two best guides out there. Our experience could not be better because of the wisdom and knowledge they shared with us. The information and stories they shared about the sites we visited enhanced our experience tremendously. Please give them a huge raise.Show moreTrip date: February 2023

- EHEd· December 23rd, 2019The guides and itinerary were excellent. Refugios were better than expected. Only disappointment was with the ice hike. Suggest reserving spots at start of trip and getting to Grey refugio earlier so people have option to kayak and ice hike. Roberto was excellent. A professional.Show moreTrip date: December 2019

What our customers ask about this tour
The content in our FAQ section is subject to change.- C
Cathy
Asked on December 25th, 2024What is the fee for single occupancy?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written December 2024
Our single supplement fee is $390 for our Essential Patagonia expedition and includes solo rooms in hotels and when using tent accommodations (does not apply when using refugios). It looks like you're considering a February travel window. While we no longer have spaces available for February 3rd, we do have spots available on our Feb 13th Patagonia Highlights trip. For that option, the solo supplement is only $200.

Rick
Asked on December 1st, 2024How physical is the trek and what are the conditions like?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written December 2024
The trek involves carrying personal gear and facing potentially cold and windy weather conditions, with quick weather changes common in the area.
- J
Jasmine
Asked on November 6th, 2024Can I book a custom or private trip?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written November 2024
Custom and private trips can be arranged based on personal preferences and physical abilities, with potential changes in itinerary and accommodations.
- K
Kelly
Asked on October 14th, 2024What happens in case of health issues during the trek?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written October 2024
If health issues arise, trek guides are equipped to provide first aid and coordinate further medical response if necessary.
- R
Rachael
Asked on September 13th, 2024Could you clarify the accommodations? Are we staying in refugio or outside tents while in the parks?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written September 2024
The 'Essential Patagonia' expedition is a combination of shared refugio accommodations and tent camping. For the tent camping, tents and sleeping pads are provided. You will need to bring your sleep bags.
- D
Douglas
Asked on September 13th, 2024What meal options are available during the trek?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written September 2024
Travelers need to carry personal snacks. Bulk food for meals is provided and managed by the trek operators.
- H
Helena
Asked on July 4th, 2024Are there any opportunities to opt out of carrying a full pack during the trek?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written July 2024
Travelers can modify the itinerary to utilize transportation between locations instead of carrying packs, making the trek less physically demanding.
- T
Tim
Asked on June 27th, 2024Is it necessary to carry a true backpack at times? Or just a day pack?
- T
Tim
Traveler•Written June 2024Can you please advise if possible to receive assistance with carrying the backpack throughout the trip for two?
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written June 2024
On Essential Patagonia, travelers carry the personal gear outlined on our packing list, along with any other personal items they bring along, in their packs along the trail. Most travelers find that a 45 - 60 L pack is sufficient, and most packs end up weighing 20 - 25 lbs / 10 kg, however, we have travelers bring lots of ultra light gear who come in under this, and travelers who bring lots of additional items and come in well over. Travelers DO NOT need to bring or carry a tent, sleeping pad (you do need to bring and carry a sleeping bag), cookware, serve ware, or bulk food for meals, just the items on the list.

Asked on June 5th, 2024I'm 70 years old and don't want to go on long treks. My walking speed would hinder other younger folks. I would like to be able to get fairly close to the best sites. Is there a Torres del Paine trip geared for people like me? I don't want to camp.
- M
Megan
Traveler•Written June 2024Can I see the things I want to see without a trek? My maximum hiking distance is one mile e/w and I do not hike steep terrain.
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written June 2024
We can create a custom and private 1 person trip with hotels and private guide for you. This would be a very high-end price as private and custom trip typically are. Patagonia season is from October through April. September is pre-season and can still be very cold and maybe snow. Trails Maybe snow covered. Many hotels close during the off season, so we may run into availability issues. Most hikes are at least 3 miles and a max of 12 miles per day. I am not sure OneSeed will be a good fit for what you are looking for.
- M
Megan
Traveler•Written June 2024If I go to Torres del Paine I will likely do it independently, since most tours involve trekking and hiking. I'm 70 y/o and not as mobile as I used to be. Unless there is a tour designed for seniors, I will probably go on my own.
- OneSeed ExpeditionsOperator•Written June 2024
We do not offer an itinerary that does not involve trekking, but there are many operators in Patagonia and many companies offer less active itineraries. The team at TourRadar may be able to recommend an operator better suited to your needs.
