Cologne
You'll arrive in Cologne with the afternoon ahead of you before your 17:00 departure. Wander the old town streets, grab lunch at one of the local spots, and maybe pop into a couple of museums or shops depending on your interests. The river promenade is worth a stroll too. By early evening, head back to the cruise terminal to board.

Your ship pulls in at 10:00 in Rotterdam, so you'll have most of the day to explore what locals call 'Manhattan on the Maas.' The city's known for its modern architecture and urban energy, which is pretty different from what you'd expect in this part of Europe. Walk around the Kop van Zuid district to see the striking contemporary buildings, check out the Euromast tower if you want city views, and browse the harbor areas. There are plenty of cafes for lunch and coffee breaks. You'll need to head back by 19:00 when the ship departs.

If you're into outdoor stuff, there's hiking and cycling through the countryside nearby - it's pretty flat and easy to navigate. If you prefer staying close, the marina area and waterfront give you nice places to walk around. Grab some Dutch cheese or local food while you're here, and just soak in the quieter vibe compared to bigger cities.

It's a solid photo spot and makes for good walking. The town itself is compact, so you can cover the main parts on foot. Stop at a local restaurant or cafe and relax by the water for a bit. The riverside setting makes it a pleasant place to spend your day before continuing the cruise.
