    · June 6th, 2019
Itenerary needs flexibility. We were chronically late for arrivals due to routes taken. (As an example: travel from Geneva to castle on lake took 3 hrs going northern route. A 1.5 hr route on the south side of lake was not selected. The castle tour gave us only 45 mins to explore which was not enough time ..and we almost missed the chocolate tour.) There was a last stop on the lake in Switzerland that most wanted to stay on bus. Everyone was moved off bus with explanation the we had to stop due to it being on the iteneray... it poured down rain and everyone got soaked standing outside in the windy rain. The hotel accommodations went severely down hill after Paris. The IBIS outside of Paris was a horrible hotel and we did not get any sleep due to uncomfortable bed, slamming doors and no ventilation in room. The breakfasts also got worse starting in Paris. The switching busses frequently on the 13 day tour was confusing and disruptive. We continued to see our other passengers from our bus so deducted it was following our tour. Not sure why we were moved off. The charging of passengers on the bus to use the toilet sucked. Frequently we became dehydrated to avoid the coat of use. I did not enjoy the dual translated tour. It was obvious that we were missing things like location times and places because the guides thought they told us where and when to meet. Several times passengers missed hit times due to this. Veronica and Teresa did a great job giving directions.
