Simply brilliant. Dazzling and jaw-dropping scenery, a great itinerary and being able to leave the driving and details to our guide. Huge shout out to Lawton who was an exceptional guide and just a great human being. Can't recommend this tour highly enough.

This camping trip was the perfect way to experience Yosemite for the first time. Incredible Adventures was very quick to respond to questions before the trip started. Our guide showed us how to set up and take down our tents during our trip. The hikes were all self-paced with the guide accompanying the slowest hiker. We were being informed of our itinerary as the day went on (if possible even accommodated to wishes), and also did a quick briefing of the next day, at night. We were able to modify the routes to our abilities, if needed. Our guide Noah did a great job of sharing the history of our surroundings, answering questions and making the best of our time there by making us feel safe and motivating everybody so each one of us could enjoy the beautiful views and get the full experience of Yosemite in those short three days. Noah was a awesome guide!

    Asked on March 20th, 2025

Which is better time for this trip...July or September?

    Tour Details
    • Incredible AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2025

Both July and September are fantastic times to experience this journey. July tends to be warmer with longer daylight hours but is peak season and more crowded. September offers cooler weather, less crowds, and early autumn colors. September tends to be more comfortable for hiking and outdoor activities.

Do you also offer additional tours to kings canyon and sequoia? Is this a hiking trip or mostly sightseeing? Am interested in hiking primarily.

This tour visits both Kings Canyon and Sequoia. The trip is fairly customizable in terms of how much hiking is included. If you would like to hike as much as possible, your guide will be able to give you good recommendations at each destination.

Is the April date a good time to visit or wait until July?

    • Incredible AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2025

Visiting Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks can be an incredible experience, but the best time depends on your preferences for weather, crowds, and the types of activities you want to enjoy. April: May be cooler, with fewer crowds, some areas may still have snow (especially higher elevations). July: Warm weather, all areas open, more activities, but may be more crowded.

      Matthew

      TravelerWritten January 2025

So for hiking, you suggest July over April? Unfortunately may is not good for me as that would be my first choice. I want to ensure I get the most out of the trip without road or trail closures.

    • Incredible AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2025

Weather in the mountains around Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks does tend to be higher in July than April. Weather permitting, some activities are not accessible in extreme weather or due to road closures. Every attempt will be made to find comparable activities if these options are not available during your trip.
