GEORGE· July 15th, 2024The tour overall was a good one. The driver was super friendly. The drive to the Dade Gorge and overnight stay were a bore. The hotel owner in Dade was a jerk. The Sahara camp didn’t have AC even though the itinerary clearly stated that all accommodations had AC. Truthfully we should have done a 3-4 day Marrakesh To Sahara and that would have been better. Morocco as whole is beautiful and worth a visit. He got to know my mom and I and adjusted the schedule to our capabilities. Ali went above and beyond with birthday celebration for us. I can’t recommend this group highly enough — Ali, Hassan and Mohamed went above and beyond throughout our 1-week visit. We traveled comfortably by bus to many key cities of Morocco including Marrakech, the Sahara, Chefchaouen, Fes and Dades. The accommodations (usually beautifully decorated riads) were absolutely gorgeous, and Ali taught us so much about the country as we drove from one area to another. In larger cities like Marrakech and Fes, Marrakech Dream Trips arranged for local guides, who were excellent. The magical sunset camel ride and sumptuous overnight camp in the Sahara were highlights for all of us. It happened to be my mother’s 85th birthday, and Marrakech Dream Trips surprised her with a cake (in the Sahara, mind you!) as we dined in style under the stars. Sunrise in the dunes the next morning was breathtaking. We were dropped off at significant sites but not given advice about joining a tour that was being run at the time. This was not the fault of the driver but the way the programme is run. The accommodation and food in the Riads were not up to expectations. The desert experience was amazing, including the camel ride and dress up for photos. This was the highlight of our trip. Overall I would not recommend this trip to anyone as the best way to experience Morocco.
