Kampala
You'll arrive in Kampala whenever works for your flight, then meet up with your CEO and the rest of the group. There's a welcome meeting to get oriented, and if you're interested, you can join an optional dinner at a local restaurant near the campsite to start getting to know everyone.

Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi
The drive takes you across the equator on the way to Lake Bunyonyi, which translates to 'place of many little birds.' The lake is surrounded by 29 islands and steep hillsides that terraced up the slopes. Once you arrive, you'll have free time to walk around and settle in, plus the option to swim in the relatively calm water if you want.

- Day 3
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You're heading into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a mountain gorilla trek. The hike goes through dense volcano forest with a park ranger guiding you as you search for these gorillas in their natural environment. Treks vary quite a bit in how long they take and how difficult they are, so prepare yourself for some real physical effort. The larger group splits into smaller teams, and depending on gorilla permit availability, different teams might trek on different days.

- Day 4
Lake Bunyonyi
You have the entire day free at Lake Bunyonyi. Sign up for whatever interests you: swimming, hiking, canoeing, bird watching, or a motorboat tour if you'd rather go that route. Later in the evening, everyone gathers back at the lodge. Note that while some group members are doing their gorilla trek today, others already completed theirs the day before, so the group will be together in the evening.

Lake Bunyonyi to Kalinzu Forest Reserve
The drive heads north through Uganda's countryside toward Kalinzu Forest Reserve, which sits right next to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The landscape here offers different terrain for spotting wildlife. After arriving, the afternoon is yours to explore and relax at the reserve.

Kalinzu Forest Reserve to Lake Mburo
You'll head out early with a ranger for chimpanzee tracking through the thick Kalinzu Forest. Later, there's a stop at a tea plantation before you reach Lake Mburo by afternoon. From there, you can choose to book a boat cruise on the lake or go for a walk and explore the area on your own.

Lake Mburo to Jinja
You cross back over the equator again today, heading to Jinja. Uganda is one of the few countries where crossing the equator on land is possible. Along the way, you'll stop for lunch at the AidChild Equation Cafe & Gallery, which G Adventures supports. You should roll into Jinja by evening.

Jinja
Jinja is entirely yours to explore today, whether solo or with others from the group. The town has tons of outdoor and adventure options available. Rafting and mountain biking are particularly popular, but there's plenty more to do if those don't appeal to you.
