Arrival in Ecuador
You'll arrive in Ecuador and get settled into your accommodation with a private transfer from the airport. Breakfast is included to fuel up as you start your journey.

- Day 2
Quito
This morning you'll walk through Quito's colonial center, checking out Plaza Grande and the historic churches of La Compañía and La Basílica, all part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After that, you'll head to the Mitad del Mundo monument where you can literally stand on the equator line with one foot in each hemisphere. Later you'll visit nearby museums including the Planetarium, Ethnographic Museum, and Artisanal Beer Museum. By evening, you'll do the Agave Experience Tour featuring botanical gardens, a distillery with tastings, and cocktails.

Quito to Amazon Rainforest Lodge
Early morning flight to Puerto Francisco de Orellana, then a transfer to the Napo River dock. You'll take a 2-hour motorized canoe ride deeper into the Amazon rainforest, switching to a paddle canoe for the final stretch to your lodge. A naturalist guide will orient you to the rainforest and you'll walk the Matapalo trail to see the famous Strangler fig tree. At night you'll head out to Garza Cocha lagoon with spotlights searching for caimans, bats, owls, and nocturnal mammals.

- Day 4
Amazon Rainforest Lodge
You'll start with a 15-minute walk to an observation tower that stands 120 feet above the forest floor, where guides point out colorful birds and primates through a sighting scope. After a 30-minute walk, you'll reach Mandi Cocha lake to explore the flooded forest and look for endangered giant otters. Keep an eye out for different monkey species including squirrel monkeys, capuchins, and howler monkeys. Come evening, you'll take a night jungle tour with spotlights to spot amphibians, insects, reptiles, birds, and nocturnal mammals.

- Day 5
Amazon Rainforest Lodge to Quito
An early breakfast at the lodge gets you started, and staff help with your bags as you board a motorized canoe heading upstream back to El Coca. Once you arrive, representatives will transfer you to the airport and help with check-in and boarding passes for your return flight.
