- Lisa· October 2nd, 2025This Outlander tour was wonderful. It was booked with Rabbies which was excellent. The group was a group of 15 people which I liked. The bugs driver/ tour guide Lizzie was fantastic. Super sweet and chock full of stories and knowledge. The itinerary and overall organization was good. I felt we did a lot more Outlander heavy stuff on day 1 and day 4 which I loved. In the town of Falkland, we had dinner and further spend much time exploring there and got tons do some photos but that felt a bit rushed and this town I looked forward to see while area small, I wanted to soak in a bit more. We entered all castles with no issues as 99% of them came pre booked or were free to enter with exception of midhope castle. The accommodations provided were both excellent in my opinion. I was very happy where I stayed and had a full Scottish breakfast at both places. During the tour there were plenty of times bathroom breaks and a lunch break. The tour bus was easy to find in Edinburgh with the instructions provided and we were dropped off same location with ease. I highly recommend.Show more

The minimum age on this tour is 4, so we will be more than happy to accommodate your son on this fantastic tour. We don't have set up departure dates for Christmas 2024 or 2025 so unfortunately it's too early for a waitlist but I'm sure there won't be any problem with availability if you book this tour 12-14 months prior to the departure.

Unfortunately our family tours do not allow for solo travelers as the accommodations are really designed for families traveling with children. We have a number of great tours that DO allow for solo adults such as our Aurora and Glass Igloo explorer and the cost including single supplement is 2715 EUR.

Asked on September 6th, 2022We are very interested in this excursion from Miami, Florida in the USA. We are 2 families with a 9 year old that will turn 10 on March 22 and an 11 year old. We wanted to see if we could add 2 igloos for 1 night. If possible, igloos with a sauna like ones that we saw from Arctic Fox Igloos. Would that be possible?

Would you happen to have any suggestions? We are interested in doing the 5 day tour starting March the 20th and we would just leave 1 day later or arrive 1 day before from the airport. I also wanted to know what hotel would be included in this excursion and want to make sure that there will be places to eat around the hotel.

Unfortunately, our Lapland Family Explorer – 5 day tour is designed for families only (including grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who'd like to come along). As long as you're travelling with a child under the age of 18, you're a family in our eyes.

Included in the price of this tour, the hotel we use on our Lapland Family Explorer - 5 day tour is the Ounasvaara Lakituvat Chalets in Rovaniemi for 4 nights. Modern, two-bedroom chalets come complete with fireplaces, open-plan living rooms and fully equipped kitchens. Each chalet also boasts a private sauna, to warm you up after a day of wintery adventures, and it's not uncommon to see a herd of reindeer in the chalet yard.

Currently we have a 10% off sale for departures between now and 29 Mar 2022. Price per person with the discount is $1049 in a twin share room or $1265 per person in a single room.
