Itinerary
- Day 1
Syracuse
You'll arrive in Syracuse and get settled at your hotel, with airport or train station transfers available if you need them. In the afternoon, head to Marzamemi village to meet up with the group at 3:30 pm. From there, you board a boat with a glass bottom so you can see down to the seabed and catch glimpses of ancient Roman columns, then jump in for a swim in the clear water. After getting back, walk around the fishing village and check out the local craft shops. Don't miss trying some local specialties like tuna and bottarga while you're there.

- Day 2
Mount Etna and Taormina
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll join a guided tour heading up to Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano. Once you get to Rifugio Sapienza at 1,900m altitude, you have time to wander around on your own and see the craters while taking in the views. Later, you'll have lunch and then travel to Taormina, a clifftop town with great views. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore around town. Grab an arancino while you're there, a traditional Sicilian snack that's worth trying.

- Day 3
Syracuse and Ortigia Island
You'll start with breakfast, then head out on a guided tour of the Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 2,000 years of history to see. You'll check out the Ear of Dionysius cave, walk through the Latomie del Paradiso limestone quarries, and visit the 5th-century BC Greek Theatre. After that, you move to Ortigia Island, the historic center of Syracuse. There you'll see the Temple of Apollo, the Diana Fountain at Piazza Archimede, the cathedral in Piazza Duomo, and the Fountain of Arethusa, which has some interesting history connected to it.

Departure
