St. John's
You'll arrive in St. John's and get settled into your accommodations. This evening, you'll meet your Travel Director and the rest of your group for dinner. After that, local celebrity Sheila Williams puts on live entertainment and leads a traditional Newfoundland 'Screech-in' ceremony, which officially makes you an honorary Newfoundlander. It's a fun way to kick off the trip and connect with fellow travelers.

St. John's
Start early with a boat tour of Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, where you'll watch for puffins and whales. The reserve is home to North America's largest Atlantic puffin sanctuary, so there's good potential to see wildlife. During the afternoon, you'll take a city tour that includes Signal Hill (which has views of the Atlantic) and Cape Spear, the easternmost point of North America. Your evening is free to walk around St. John's and pick a restaurant that appeals to you.

St. John's to Clarenville
You'll start in Cupids, the second oldest English settlement in North America, to walk through its historic architecture and archaeological sites. From there, head to the village of Brigus to explore its old stone walls and narrow lanes that reflect English, Irish, and Welsh heritage. You can wander on your own and find the Brigus tunnel, which has views of the wharf. Later you'll drive to Clarenville where the evening is yours to do as you please.

Clarenville to Bonavista Peninsula to Trinity
Start your day on the Bonavista Peninsula and tour the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse, a mid-19th century building you can actually climb. Look for whales, icebergs, and puffins the way the lighthouse keepers did. After that, move on to the historic town of Trinity where a Local Specialist leads a walking tour to tell you about its colorful history and notable residents. You'll head back to Clarenville for the night.

Clarenville to Terra Nova National Park to Gander
A Local Specialist guides you on a walk through Terra Nova National Park, where you'll see sheltered inlets, headlands, and forest landscapes. Later in the day, you'll drive to Gander and learn about how this community took in thousands of air passengers after 9/11 was attacked, which became the story behind the Broadway musical 'Come from Away.'

Gander to Gros Morne National Park
You'll start at the Whale Pavilion in King's Point to see a 50-foot whale skeleton. Then a Local Specialist takes you on the Tablelands Trail in Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can see Earth's mantle exposed, which gives you a rare look at the planet's geological history. This evening, you'll have a Be My Guest dinner at The Fish Sheds, a former fishing shed turned dining space. Hosts Becky and Alex serve a three-course meal with fresh, local ingredients while sharing stories about Newfoundland's food culture and traditions. You'll be seated at an outdoor table overlooking Bonne Bay.

You have the option to take a boat tour of Bonne Bay in Gros Morne National Park, where a guide will talk about the area's cultural history, biodiversity, and wildlife. After that, visit the Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse to learn about the park's heritage. The rest of the day is yours, so you can relax or explore on your own.

Gros Morne to L'Anse aux Meadows
You'll head out early to trace Western Newfoundland's rugged coastline. First, stop at Arches Provincial Park to see its natural rock archway formed by tidal action. Then continue to L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site for a tour of the UNESCO-listed 11th-century Viking settlement. The day ends with dinner.

This morning you start your journey toward Labrador with a stop at scenic Fisher Point. In the afternoon, you'll take the ferry to Labrador and arrive in Blanc-Sablon. Later, you'll visit a working scallop farm where you'll learn to shuck a scallop like a local and taste the difference between live and cooked scallop, paired with wine.

A Local Specialist leads a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Red Bay National Historic Site, which was once a major whaling point on the Atlantic. You'll also visit Point Armour Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse in Atlantic Canada. The rest of the evening is yours to spend however you'd like.

Blanc-Sablon to Port aux Choix
You'll take the ferry back to Newfoundland from Labrador. At Port aux Choix National Historic Site, you'll explore thousands of years of human history and learn about four ancient cultures that crossed at this location. This evening, you'll have dinner with your group at one of Trafalgar's Stays with Stories, where you'll also spend the night.
