- Irene· March 20th, 2025Our trip on the Ocean Albatross to Northen Greenland was amazing. We got to over 79 degrees North before getting stopped by the pack ice. There was a great variety of onshore activities as we moved along the West coast. We didn't see much wildlife but with an expedition team of twenty polar specialists onboard, we were able to learn a good deal attending the lectures in the bright, open conference room. Both the expedition team and ship staff were friendly, helpful and excellent. Our balconied room, the ship services, and the food were fantastic! We had an awesome trip. PS: It was so good, I am going on another Albatross Expedition cruise shortly.Show more

We have this tour planned in 2025 departing on 30th August. The only difference is that this year the trip is half chartered for a marathon, meaning half of the travelers onboard will be running a marathon in Greenland on one specific day. For the other travelers, this will not affect the itinerary, and they will just continue with their itinerary as is. Next year, there is no marathon planned.

All our tours for year 2025 are already published on our website. This year, our departure is half chartered for a marathon, meaning half of the travelers onboard will be running a marathon in Greenland on one specific day. For the other travelers, this will not affect the itinerary, and they will just continue with their itinerary as is. That's why the tour is named Marathon Trip. In 2025, we have the same tour planned, however, there is no marathon. The trip is planned from 30th August - 10th September 2025.

Approximate total cost of this tour. Will tour management be able to suggest kind of boots, clothes for this trip for a person who gets cold early?

Albatros Expeditions welcomes guests of all ages. However, there are specific health recommendations. Our expeditions are intended for people in reasonably good health. You should be able to move around onboard and ashore without assistance. Passengers with health conditions are advised not to join the tour. All guests are required to sign a medical information declaration before boarding.

For Arctic trips, we suggest wearing multiple layers: thermal clothing, hiking pants, waterproof pants, thermal clothing, warm fleece hoodie, and waterproof jacket. We recommend waterproof hiking boots, and we also offer free boot borrowing on board.
