Johannesburg to Botswana
Your Drifters guide meets you early and you'll head out toward Botswana. By late afternoon you'll arrive at Khama Rhino Sanctuary, which has white and black rhinos plus plenty of other wildlife and birds. Camp overnight there.

Johannesburg to Botswana
The guide meets you around 6:30 am for the drive into Botswana. You'll reach Khama Rhino Sanctuary in the late afternoon, home to white and black rhinos and other animal species. Stay overnight at the sanctuary lodge.

Maun to Okavango Delta
A truck will take you to the Okavango Delta, the world's largest inland delta. From there a 4x4 vehicle takes you to camp on a large lagoon's edge. You can walk or take a mokoro canoe depending on water levels, or use vehicles in drier seasons. Local guides show you the wildlife and the delta's people. By evening you'll take a boat trip to see animals at sunset.

Maun to Okavango Delta
A small plane flies you directly to the Okavango Delta. You'll set up camp on the edge of a large lagoon and explore by foot or mokoro canoe if water permits, otherwise by vehicle during dry periods. Local guides share knowledge about delta wildlife and inhabitants. Catch a sunset boat trip to spot animals and enjoy the views.

Okavango Delta to Khwai
A small plane takes you directly to the Khwai area. Later that afternoon you'll go on a game drive in an open safari vehicle. You'll lodge at Khwai Hippo Pool Camp for the next 4 nights.

Landmarks Khwai area - Days 7 - 10
Game Reserves Safari
Now you'll switch to smaller specialized safari vehicles for off-road exploration through various game reserves. The exact route and camping spots depend on the season and water levels. You might explore Moremi Game Reserve (4,800 square kilometers known for game viewing) or head to Savuti. Road and weather conditions might lead your guide to Khwai. You'll camp in the middle of nature at Wild Camps throughout.

Khwai to Maun

Maun to Makgadikgadi
Back in Maun you'll get in the truck again. After lunch you'll continue to the Makgadikgadi salt pan, known for lots of birds and desert animals across an endless landscape. Camp wild under Africa's night sky.
