Itinerary
- Day 1
Calgary
Arrive in Calgary and take the free shuttle bus to the Acclaim Hotel or drive yourself. You'll meet your tour guide and the group for a briefing to get everyone oriented before the adventure starts.
- Day 2
Calgary to Banff National Park
After breakfast, you'll travel through ranch country to reach Banff National Park. Set up camp at a forest site with shower facilities, then head out on your first hike around Minnewanka Lake or other mountain trails. Plan on about 2 to 3 hours of walking.

Banff National Park
This is a full day of hiking through alpine meadows and passes above the tree line, with the trail reaching a small lake at 2,470 meters elevation. Later, you can gather around the campfire or head into the town of Banff if you'd prefer. The hike takes approximately 5 to 7 hours.

Lake Louise
You'll check out the landscape around Lake Louise and pick your hike based on your preference and fitness level. Options include an easy 3.5 km trail to the historic Tea House, the 15 km loop to the Plain of Six Glaciers, or a steep 2.5 km climb for summit views. Each route offers different vantage points with nice mountain scenery.

Lake Louise to Yoho National Park
From Lake Louise, you'll travel to Golden in British Columbia and choose between optional whitewater rafting on the Kicking Horse River or hiking through Yoho National Park. If hiking, you'll explore flower-lined mountain passes, see Emerald Lake, visit the Natural Bridge and Takakkaw Falls, plus check out the famous Spiral Tunnels. Walking time is about 6 hours if you choose the hike.

Golden to Jasper
You'll drive along the Icefields Parkway, one of Canada's most beautiful panoramic roads, and stop at scenic spots like Bow Summit and Peyto Lake. Then comes a short but steep hike up Parker Ridge for great views of Saskatchewan Glacier and the surrounding valley. You'll arrive at a campsite near Jasper by evening. The hike takes about 2 hours.

Jasper
You have a choice today. Take it easy and enjoy Jasper's leisure activities, or head out on an 8 km circular hike to Maligne Lake and up to the tree line at 2,150 meters with the option to continue to a 2,789-meter peak. You might spot moose, reindeer, and bald eagles. Walking time varies from 2 to 6 hours depending on what you choose.

Jasper to Calgary
Your final morning includes a hike along the Icefields Parkway, viewing the 23-meter-high Athabasca Falls and hiking above the tree line for glacier views. You'll reach Wilcox Pass at 2,375 meters elevation. After that, the bus heads back to Calgary for an overnight hotel stay. The hike takes about 2 to 3 hours.

Calgary to Whitehorse
You'll transfer to Calgary airport for your flight to Whitehorse, the capital of Yukon. Meet your tour guide at Whitehorse airport and transfer to your hotel for the night.

Whitehorse to Tombstone Mountains
Head north on the Klondike Highway through Carmacks, stopping at historic Five Finger Rapids where paddle steamers were wrecked. Turn onto the famous Dempster Highway, a 730 km gravel road and the only road connection to Inuvik on the Arctic Ocean. Set up camp for two nights at the foot of the Tombstone Mountains.

Tombstone Mountains
You'll hike for a full day through unique tundra and mountain landscape. The black basalt mountains create a lunar-like setting, and each season has its own character. The wedge-shaped Tombstone Mountains have served as landmarks for explorers, trappers, and police patrols throughout history. Walking time is 3 to 7 hours.

Tombstone Mountains to Dawson City
Travel toward Dawson City, the legendary gold mining town where the Yukon and Klondike Rivers meet. This was where the 1896 gold rush took place and remains an active gold mining area. Later, you can experience the town's nightlife at Diamond Tooth Gertie's Saloon and Casino with gaming tables and cancan dancers. You'll camp for the next two nights.

Dawson City
Visit Bonanza Creek where the first gold nuggets were discovered and try your luck panning for gold in a real gold mine if you'd like. Tour the Jack London Cabin and check out the gold mining museum. Hike up Midnight Dome, the local mountain, and then stroll through town to see the original buildings and lovingly restored structures.

Dawson City to Alaska
Cross the Yukon River by ferry and head into Alaska via the Top of the World Highway, one of North America's most beautiful high-altitude roads. You'll drive through alpine plateaus with boreal coniferous forest and tundra. Pass through strangely named villages like Chicken, Action Jackson, and Jack Wade Camp. Camp overnight en route.

Alaska to Kluane National Park
Drive back to Canada on the Alaska Highway along the shores of massive Kluane Lake into the Kluane National Park area. Weather permitting, you can take an optional scenic flight by bush plane or helicopter over the glaciers of the Kluane massif. Spot rare snow-white Dall sheep on Sheep Mountain. Camp overnight in the park area.

Kluane National Park
You'll explore Kluane National Park, Canada's largest national park protecting the largest contiguous glacier area on earth outside the North and South Poles. The park remains largely undeveloped and untouched. Camp for two nights in the small village of Haines Junction right on the park's edge.

Haines Junction

Haines Junction to Tatshenshini River
Short morning drive to the starting point for a full day of whitewater rafting on the world-famous Tatshenshini River. All necessary equipment is provided. After the thrilling ride, you'll set up camp near the Million Dollar Falls.

Million Dollar Falls to Haines
Travel south along the Pacific coast on the scenic Haines Road through the Bald Eagle Valley and coastal mountains. You'll enter a completely different climate zone and charming coastal landscape dominated by the snow-capped Chilkat Mountain range. Haines is a center of indigenous Tlingit culture where you can watch traditional totem pole carvers at work and see traditional dances in the local theater. Visit historic Victorian-style captain's houses. Camp overnight.

Haines to Skagway
Ferry through Lynn Fjord, one of the longest and deepest fjords in the world at 140 km long and 610 meters deep. Watch for sea otters, puffins, sea lions, and whales during the journey. Arrive in Skagway, which was the gateway to the greatest gold rush of all time. Almost the entire town is a listed building with an open-air museum atmosphere. Visit historic bars like the Red Onion Saloon, a former brothel from the gold rush era, with live music. Camp overnight.

Skagway to Whitehorse
Stroll through historic Skagway and visit the cemetery with graves of Soapy Smith and other notorious figures from the lawless gold rush era. Drive back toward Whitehorse with stops at Carcross Desert, the world's smallest desert, and Emerald Lake. You can take an optional historic train ride on the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, which runs parallel to the challenging Chilkoot Trail through White Pass with dramatic scenery and steep mountain cliffs. Return to the Whitehorse hotel by evening.
