A disappointing experience. Whilst acknowledging the changes to the itinerary that were required following the wildfires around Jasper, this seemed to be a poorly organised and lacklustre tour. The tents were very average and tedious to set up. Some of the folding camp chairs were in a poor state of repair and the hard foam mattresses were quite dirty, in poor condition and completely unsuited to camping on compacted gravel.

    Asked on January 27th, 2024

We have just booked two spaces in this tour and were wondering if we need to fly into Calgary on the 29th June at any time to get the transport from the airport?

The tour begins at 18:30 on June 29th. The transfer from Calgary Airport to the first hotel is operated by the Acclaim Hotel itself, so arrival can be anytime. If your flight means you would be late for the 18:30 meeting, the guide is also at the hotel and would meet you latest June 30 at 7:30am prior to breakfast.

    Alicia

    Asked on January 26th, 2024

Would we be able to make changes to the end of the tour? We would like to stay longer so would not want the last ferry back to Vancouver or the last airport hotel. Please could you let us know how this would affect the price? Please could you also give us information about how you would support us if any thing went wrong during the tour?

Should you decide to leave the tour on August 16 in Nanaimo, you not be using the ferry or the last night at Sandman Vancouver Airport. We'd reduce the total invoice price for two people by a total of CAD$255.- to account for the unused services. First the tour guide is there to assist immediately, second you can always reach our 24/7 phone line to assist that way. As the trip is front country camping and day hikes, medical assistance is no more than a few hours away, if you need to end your trip for some reason, our office can help with some of your logistics to re-route yourselves (getting a bus to next airport, hotel nights if needed for example).

Please can you tell us what time we will get to the ferry terminal as we will want to get a bus to Port Renfrew on the 16th August?

    • Timberwolf Tours Ltd.OperatorWritten January 2024

We leave Tofino in the morning and usually have a reservation for the 15:15 ferry from Duke Point near Nanaimo to Tsawassan. We arrive in Nanaimo around 14:30ish.

We really need the sleeping bag that go to -10 C? We are traveling in July. We were going to bring sleeping bags for warmer weather, but will bring winter bags, if you feel it necessary.
