- Andrew· August 12th, 2024This was my sixth Expat tour, and I had heard legends of tour guide Luke. I finally got him as a tour leader and the legends were indeed true. He's one of the best tour leaders I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and learning from. He has a vast knowledge of the destinations we visited and I was transported back in time by his wonderfully soothing, palpable English voice. He'd make an excellent narrator for film and television! He's also extremely approachable and has such an optimistic demeanor. Also, he is always available for questions, concerns, or just friendly banter. More importantly, he's honest. He won't b.s. you or beat around the bush, which I really liked. I wish my tour was longer because we had a lot of fun together in such a short amount of time. He was focused on us 24/7 and rapidly attended to the small issues that can affect any such trip. He managed the various personalities well, and his sense of humour was always there. In particular his knowledge of the relevant political and historical issues was deep and balanced - and this is from someone born in 1939.
