Not the best, but was ok. To the guests didn’t join the optional, should not just dropping to nowhere ( we had to walk almost two miles to a shopping center). At least should put us to hotel lobby or city center.

Best tour companies for Baltic tours
Looking at these three companies, each brings something distinct to European travel. Europamundo has built a solid reputation among our travelers for getting the balance right - their tours give you enough structure to see everything important but also leave room to explore on your own. The hotels they use are reliably good and their guides really know their stuff. Expat Explore's guides, especially Luke Watson, get a lot of praise from past travelers for their enthusiasm and deep knowledge. The only consistent note from customers is that some days can feel a bit packed with activities - though many say that's exactly what they wanted to fit everything in. For travelers wanting to be more active, Baltic Bike Travel offers something different. Their cycling routes through Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are thoughtfully planned, and guides like Mindaugas add real depth by sharing local history and cultural insights along the way. The pace of cycling lets you actually absorb the countryside and small towns you're passing through. Each company serves different travel styles - from Europamundo's balanced approach to Expat Explore's comprehensive coverage and Baltic Bike Travel's pedal-powered journeys. The key is matching your preferred travel style with the right operator.

Best time to visit Baltic
- Winter 2025 / 2026
Winter in the Baltics really comes alive with festive markets and snow-covered medieval streets. The 8-day capital cities tour takes you to Riga's original Christmas tree location - a special spot where locals first started decorating trees back in the 16th century. Our travelers often mention how much they love the candlelit monastery visits in Tallinn and learning to paint their own marzipan figures in local cafes. Some tours include traditional Christmas Eve dinners in historic cellars and Boxing Day walks through Tallinn's snow-dusted Old Town. If you're interested in adding Finnish winter charm, the 10-day version starting from Helsinki includes stops at the unique Church-in-the-Rock and historic Senate Square.

- Spring 2026
Spring hits a sweet spot for Baltic travel with mild weather and smaller crowds. The 13-day route covering Poland and the Baltics lines up perfectly with Krakow's Easter markets and first flowers blooming in Lazienki Park. Our 8-day capital cities focus works really well this time of year - you can mix indoor time at Riga's art museums with walks along Tallinn's medieval walls. Many travelers go for the 10-day option with Helsinki since spring gives you clear views on the Gulf of Finland ferry crossing. The Gauja National Park visits are extra nice in spring when wildflowers carpet the forest floor.

- Summer 2026
Summer tours take full advantage of those long Nordic days and local festivals. The 12-day full route includes swimming at Tallinn's Pirita beach and cycling through pine forests on the Curonian Spit right by the Baltic Sea. Our customers love exploring the Old Towns after dinner while it's still light - you should see how Riga's Art Nouveau buildings look in that evening glow. The 10-day capitals route includes time at outdoor cafes in medieval squares and optional trips to Jurmala's white sand beaches. Some tours add kayaking through Aukstaitija National Park's lakes and visits to local farmsteads where families often welcome you with a traditional sauna experience.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall brings golden forests and nice temperatures for exploring. The 8-day capitals tour includes drives through Latvia's countryside when the trees show their autumn colors. Our travelers really like the 11-day version that adds Berlin, with stops in the Masurian Lake District where fall colors mirror in the water. You get harvest festivals and traditional foods on the 13-day Polish-Baltic combination, plus some great photo opportunities along the coastal road to Parnu. Many people choose this season to visit the Hill of Crosses and see Rundale Palace gardens in their autumn display.
