Bunk'Art is where you'll spend a good part of the day—it's a history and contemporary art museum housed in a massive underground bunker from the 1970s. You descend 3000 square metres into the hillside to see exhibitions covering Albanian modern history and contemporary art. The afternoon's yours to explore the city at your own pace, maybe stopping at the Block for drinks.

We can’t say enough good things about our guide Marco, he was very attentive and a great planner and communicator. He was very cost consciousness when it came to dining recommendations and knowledgeable about the area and its history. The hikes while difficult were rewarding with the views. We highly recommend this tour

All was good. Great tour guide who really knows Iceland. There was a Tour Radar snafu right at the start whereby the (personal) information that we filled out on the Tour Guide web site never got to the tour guide when checking us in. Didn’t feel comfortable sharing our information verbally in a group setting.

    Asked on April 8th, 2025

Would you be kind enough to tell me if I should take the Essential Southern Balkan tour: 1.) Can I stay over a few days in Corfu at the end of the tour and return to Tirana? If possible, how can I return to Tirana from the hydrofoil port in Albania/what is the distance? 2.) In what location does the tour meet in Dubrovnik?

You can stay a few extra days in Corfu after the trip ends. The tour begins in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and our joining point is Akademis Academia, Ulica Marka Marojice 2b, Dubrovnik, CROATIA. The trip kicks off with a Welcome Meeting at 6:00 PM on Day 1.

      TravelerWritten April 2025

I would love to take this tour, but I am 83 years old. Can you supply me with an alternate tour of the same countries: Albania and Montenegro - one that straddles the coastline?

    • Intrepid TravelOperatorWritten April 2025

We do have a small group Montenegro Sailing trip; its 8 days and the maximum group size onboard our sailboat is 8 people. It is a great itinerary if you are looking to explore the coast but since we use a small sailboat there are no single supplements. We also have a Western Balkans Tour. It is a 12 day trip and we start in Skopje in North Macedonia and end in Dubrovnik. The maximum group size is 12 people. A single supplement is available if you preferred not to share a room on this, it is subject to availability, and applies to all nights.
