Itinerary
- Day 1
Casablanca to Rabat
You'll arrive at Casablanca Airport where a Morocco Getaway representative meets you. The drive to Rabat takes about 1.5 hours, and once you get there, the afternoon is yours to explore Hassan Tower, the incomplete 12th-century minaret that's become iconic to the city's skyline. Right nearby sits the Mohammed V Mausoleum with its white walls and distinctive green-tiled roof. You're staying overnight in Rabat.

Rabat to Fes
Leaving Rabat, you'll head toward Meknes to check out the remnants of the Old Granaries and historic stables. From there, you pass through Moulay Idriss and reach Volubilis, where Roman ruins with well-preserved mosaic floors let you walk through centuries-old history. The day ends in Fes, where you'll settle in and get ready to explore this historic city.

Fes
A local guide takes you through Fes's medina and Old City. You'll navigate the narrow alleyways, see the tanneries where leather gets dyed in ceramic pits, and watch craftsmen at work in the markets. The Medersa Bou Inania is the stop for architecture, and then you visit the tannery with its working dye pits. For meals, you'll try traditional Harira soup and chicken-stuffed pastille with couscous.

The journey from Fes climbs mountain roads into the Rif Mountains before you arrive in Chefchaouen. The markets are vibrant, the squares peaceful, and locals are friendly if you want to chat and grab something to eat.

Chefchaouen
A local guide shows you around Chefchaouen today. You'll visit the Museum of the Kasbah, built back in 1471, and climb to its rooftop for panoramic views over the blue and white buildings. Plaza Uta el-Hammam comes next, where you can see the 15th-century grand Mosque and sit in the lively square atmosphere. The guide helps you find hidden corners and explains the Blue City's unique cultural background.

Petit Socco offers another perspective on this port city that blends influences from North Africa, Spain, Portugal, and France.
