Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Boumalene Dades
You'll start early from your Marrakech hotel and drive through the High Atlas Mountains with stops along the way to take in the views. The main stop is Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's been used as a filming location for various movies, where you'll have lunch. From there, you'll continue driving through valleys and past Berber villages before reaching Boumalene Dades for the night.

- Day 2
Boumalene Dades to Merzouga
After breakfast, you'll drive through Berber villages and head into the Todra Gorge, which offers some really dramatic scenery. You'll stop for lunch and try Berber pizza in the Tafilalet region. By afternoon, you'll arrive in Merzouga and spend 90 minutes on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. The evening involves settling into a nomadic desert camp where you'll have dinner and entertainment around the campfire.

- Day 3
Merzouga to Fez
You'll wake early to watch the sun come up over the dunes, then take camels back to your hotel. After showering and breakfast, you'll drive north through Ziz Valley and the Mid Atlas Mountains toward Fez with scenic stops along the way. A stop in Azrou gives you a chance to see wild monkeys in a Cedar Forest. You'll arrive in Fez later and check into your riad for the night.

- Day 4
Fez to Chefchaouen
You'll drive north through the Rif Mountains to reach Chefchaouen, known for its blue-painted buildings set against dramatic mountain backdrops. The medina here has blue-tinted houses and cobbled streets that are pretty distinctive. You'll explore the town in the evening and stay overnight in a riad, with plenty of time to wander around and get a feel for the place.

- Day 5
Chefchaouen to Fez
After breakfast, you'll travel toward Volubilis by passing through Wazan and other Rif villages. At Volubilis, you'll walk through Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history from the archaeological site. Then you'll head to Meknes, an imperial city from the 17th century, where you can explore the massive medina walls and see the historic Bab El Mansour gate. You'll return to Fez where the tour ends, or you can choose to continue onward.
