Day 1
Johannesburg to Pilanesberg Game Reserve
A driver picks you up in Johannesburg and takes you to Pilanesberg Game Reserve for your safari. During the drive, you'll start spotting wildlife as you enter the park on a morning game drive. Once you arrive at Sundown Country Estate, check in and settle in for a bit. Later in the afternoon, head out for another game drive before returning at sunset. Dinner happens back at the lodge, and you'll spend your first night in the African bush.

Pilanesberg Game Reserve
This morning starts early with a game drive while animals are most active. Back at the lodge, you'll have a hearty breakfast and can rest or use the lodge's facilities for a few hours. After lunch, head back into the reserve for more wildlife. With some luck, you might catch sight of the Big Five during the day. Return when it gets dark for dinner and a quiet night.

Pilanesberg Game Reserve to Johannesburg
Your final morning begins with an early game drive to catch any wildlife you may have missed on previous outings. After breakfast, you'll check out and start your drive back to Johannesburg. The trip out of the park happens in a closed vehicle, giving you one last chance to see the reserve. Then you're headed back to the city with your safari memories from the past few days.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before February 10th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 10th, 2026, a minimum payment of 60% is required to confirm your booking with Knap Tours Limited. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Knap Tours Limited will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
