Itinerary
- Day 1
Pretoria to Polokwane
You'll depart Pretoria at 10am on a shuttle bus heading north through the city and into Limpopo Province's bushveld landscape. After arriving in Polokwane, you'll meet your guide and group at the lodge. Later you'll visit the Bakone Open Air Cultural Museum where you'll learn about traditional fire-making, food preparation, and how the local Bakone tribe decorated their dwellings.

Polokwane to Bulawayo
Following breakfast, you'll travel south across the border at Beitbridge into Zimbabwe and reach Bulawayo, a city known for its tree-lined avenues and open spaces. The area around Bulawayo includes Matobo National Park and other historical and geological attractions. Your accommodation sits in a peaceful garden setting on the city's outskirts.

Matobo National Park
This morning you'll head into Matobo National Park for a half-day nature drive and wilderness walk with your guide. The park has the highest concentration of Black and White Rhino in Africa and the world's densest population of leopard and black eagle. You'll search for these animals both from the vehicle and on foot. After returning to your guesthouse, you'll have a leisurely afternoon to relax.

Bulawayo to Victoria Falls
You'll travel north from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls, arriving by early afternoon at this town on the Zambezi River's southern banks. The falls are just a short walk away, surrounded by markets, shops, and cafes. In the evening, you'll join a sunset dinner cruise on the Zambezi River where you can watch for elephants, buffalo, hippos, and various bird species along the banks.

Victoria Falls
After breakfast, you'll head to Victoria Falls National Park to see the falls from multiple vantage points along the pathways. The rest of your day is free to explore as you like. You can relax at your accommodation or take advantage of optional activities such as white water rafting, canoeing, scenic flights, or bungee jumping.

Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park
You'll travel a short distance to cross into Botswana, reaching the small town of Kasane and then continuing to your lodge. In the afternoon, you'll take a boat cruise on the Chobe River in Chobe National Park. The river gives you a unique perspective to view the park's large elephant populations along with lion, leopard, hyena, giraffe, and antelope. During the dry season, you might see between 500 and 2,000 elephants gathered at once on the floodplains.

Chobe National Park to Nata
This morning you'll go on an open vehicle game drive through Chobe National Park where you might spot prolific elephant populations, lion, and various antelope species. You'll often see animals from migratory herds roaming in search of pasture and water. Later you'll drive south to the small settlement of Nata for the night. From the pool deck, bar, or breakfast table, you can watch for bird species like Southern yellow-billed hornbills and glossy starlings.

Nata to Maun
Following an early breakfast, you'll take a guided walk through a local village to learn about the community's life and culture. Then you'll head west to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta and a rapidly growing provincial centre. The afternoon is free so you can relax and get ready for your Delta trip the next day.

Maun to Okavango Delta
Starting early after breakfast, you'll begin your Okavango Delta journey with a 4x4 ride over sandy paths to the mokoro station. You'll transfer to mokoros (dug-out canoes) and navigate through giant lily pads and channels to reach your camp. In the afternoon, a guided walk lets you spot birdlife and larger mammals. You'll spend the night at camp in this natural wetland spanning over 1,600,000 hectares.

Okavango Delta to Maun
This morning you'll take a nature walk through the wilderness to experience the sights, sounds, and smells around you. After your walk, you'll have a hearty breakfast and pack up onto your mokoros, then return to Maun in the 4x4. This afternoon, you can join your guide for an optional shopping trip in town or book a scenic flight over the Delta for a bird's eye view of the area.

Stevensford Game Reserve
Another early start takes you on a long journey skirting the greater Kalahari where you'll catch glimpses of Botswana's vast salt pans in the distance. You'll arrive at the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, a prime habitat for white rhino, zebra, wildebeest, and giraffe. During a game drive, your guides will share facts about local wildlife and plants. Your final night on safari is spent at a private nature conservancy on the Limpopo River in Botswana's Tuli Block.

Tuli Block to Pretoria
On your last morning, you'll join the main route along Martin's Drift border post and cross the Limpopo River back into South Africa. You'll take in scenic views and notice changes in vegetation and landscape. You'll arrive in Pretoria by mid to late afternoon where your tour ends.
