Itinerary
- Day 1
Pretoria to Hoedspruit
Leave Pretoria early and drive through Mpumalanga province where the landscape starts changing. The main stop is Blyde River Canyon to see the Three Rondavels rock formations and get a feel for the area before grabbing lunch. From there, it's a few more hours to your lodge, which sits about 38km from Kruger National Park's entrance.

Kruger National Park
This is a full day in Kruger National Park with professional guides in 4x4 vehicles. You'll do game drives both morning and afternoon, with a break at midday at a rest camp for lunch. The goal is spotting the Big Five and other wildlife throughout the day. Head back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

Hoedspruit to Polokwane
After breakfast, head across countryside toward Polokwane in Limpopo Province, driving through mountain passes and citrus plantations. Your guide and group meet you at the lodge, then it's off to an open-air museum focused on Bakone culture. You'll see how locals make fire, prepare traditional food, and decorate their dwellings.

Polokwane to Bulawayo
Following breakfast, travel to the Beitbridge border crossing into Zimbabwe and continue to Bulawayo. This city has wide, tree-lined avenues and plenty of open space. Matobo National Park is nearby if you're interested. Your accommodation sits in a calm garden setting away from the city center.

Matobo National Park
Spend half the day in Matobo National Park combining both a vehicle drive and a walking safari. The area has the highest concentration of Black and White Rhinos in Africa, plus exceptional leopard and black eagle populations. You'll search on foot for these animals. Afterward, return to rest and relax for the afternoon.

Bulawayo to Victoria Falls
Travel north from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls, arriving by early afternoon. The town sits on the Zambezi River's southern banks and is Zimbabwe's main tourist hub. Victoria Falls itself is within easy walking distance. Later, board a sunset dinner cruise on the river where you'll look for elephants, buffalo, hippos, and birds along the banks.

Victoria Falls
Start with Victoria Falls National Park in the morning, viewing the falls from different pathways and viewpoints. The rest of the day is free. You can try white water rafting, canoeing, scenic flights, or bungee jumping if you'd like. Otherwise, relax with afternoon tea at the Victoria Falls Hotel.

Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park
Travel a short distance to the Botswana border and cross at Kasane, heading to your lodge. That afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Chobe River within Chobe National Park. The river is packed with elephants, but you'll also see lions, leopards, hyenas, giraffes, antelopes, and diverse birds along the water.

Chobe National Park to Nata
Morning brings an open vehicle game drive through Chobe National Park spotting elephants, lions, antelopes, and other species. Then head south watching the roads for elephant or buffalo moving as part of migration. Stop in the small town of Nata for the night. Watch for Southern yellow-billed hornbills, babblers, glossy starlings, and paradise whydahs from the pool deck or breakfast area.

Nata to Maun
After an early breakfast, take a guided walk through a local village to understand how the community lives. Then head west to Maun, which serves as the gateway to the Okavango Delta. This town is a busy provincial center that's been growing fast. The afternoon is free to relax and get ready for tomorrow's Delta adventure.

Maun to Okavango Delta
Start early with a 4x4 ride across rough sandy terrain to reach the mokoro station. Meet your local Tswana polers who'll guide you in dug-out canoes through lily pads, tall grasses, and winding channels to your camp on the Delta's edge. Afternoon includes a guided walk spotting birds and larger animals. Settle in for your night at camp.

Okavango Delta to Maun
Take a nature walk through the wilderness this morning to take in the sights, sounds, and smells. After that, have a hearty breakfast and pack up the mokoros, leaving no trace. Say goodbye to your polers and return to Maun by 4x4. The afternoon gives you time for a guided shopping trip in town or an optional scenic flight over the Delta.

Maun to Stevensford Game Reserve
Rise early for a long drive skirting the greater Kalahari with views of salt pans in central Botswana. Arrive at Khama Rhino Sanctuary, which has white rhinos, zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes. Join a game drive where your guide explains facts about local animals and plants. Your final night is at a private conservancy on the Limpopo River in Botswana's Tuli Block, home to antelope, crocodiles, hippos, zebras, giraffes, and birds.

Stevensford to Pretoria
On your last morning, meet the main route at Martin's Drift border post. Cross the Limpopo River back into South Africa, taking in scenic views and noticing changes in vegetation and landscape. Your journey concludes in Pretoria.
