Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro
You'll arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and get picked up for a private transfer to your hotel. Once there, you'll meet with the climbing team to go over the pre-climb briefing, check your gear, and verify you have your medical coverage and travel insurance sorted out.

- Day 2
Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
After breakfast, you'll drive about an hour from Moshi to Marangu Gate for registration. Then the trek begins to Mandara Hut, your first stop for the night. It's 11 km and takes roughly 5 to 7 hours, climbing from 1,860m to 2,700m. Along the way, your guides will point out the mountain's history, different vegetation zones, and wildlife you might spot.

Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
You'll start early with breakfast before heading out from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut. The 10 km trek takes around 5 to 6 hours, getting you up to 3,720m. You'll see the snow-covered peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi, plus forests and animals during the climb. There's a lunch break partway through, and after you reach the hut, you'll do a 2.5 km acclimatization hike to 3,920m for about 1 to 2 hours, then return for dinner.

Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut
This is your acclimatization day, which helps your body adjust to the altitude for tomorrow. After a relaxed breakfast, you'll trek 4 hours to Zebra Rocks at 4,020m, named for their striking black and white markings. From there, you'll head back to Horombo Hut for a warm lunch and spend the afternoon resting and building up energy for the next push.

Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
You'll trek about 10 km over 4 to 8 hours, gaining 1,000 meters in elevation. Head toward the southern side to refill water bottles at Maua River, your last water source. Then push through the steep, bare Saddle region toward Kibo Hut at 4,700m. The views of Kilimanjaro's cones are great here, though vegetation is sparse. After dinner, you'll get to bed early since tomorrow starts at midnight.

Summit Day
Summit day is the most demanding stretch of your climb. You'll wake around 23:00 and eat before starting a roughly 13 hour trek up 1,176 meters (23 km total). The route takes you through rocky terrain with many switchbacks, passing William's Point at 5,131m, Hans Meyers Cave at 5,258m, and Gilman's Point at 5,719m. You'll reach Uhuru Peak at 5,895m around sunrise at 07:00. After celebrating at the top, you'll descend to Kibo Hut for 2 hours rest and lunch, then continue down to Horombo Hut for dinner and sleep.

- Day 7
Descent to Kilimanjaro Gate
The final leg takes you back down through heath and moor zones to Mandara Hut at 2,700m, where a warm lunch is ready for you. From there, you'll walk through tropical rainforest for about 6 hours total to reach Kilimanjaro National Park Gate at 1,860m. You'll say goodbye to your guides and transfer back to your hotel in Moshi for a hot shower and to celebrate your summit success.

Departure
This day is yours to decide what's next. If you've arranged a safari, it'll start today. Otherwise, you might fly to Zanzibar or head back home. Your transfer vehicle will take you to the airport at whatever time you request.
