Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Buenos Aires

    You'll land in Buenos Aires and get settled into your accommodation for the night. The city has a lot to offer, so if you arrive early enough, there's time to walk around and see the European-style architecture, check out some of the local steakhouses, and get a feel for the tango culture that defines the place. It's worth getting oriented before heading south the next day.

  2. Day 2

    Buenos Aires to Ushuaia

    An early morning flight takes you to Ushuaia, where you'll board your hybrid electric expedition ship. After meeting with the Expedition Team for a briefing about what's ahead, you'll find your cabin and explore the ship's facilities. Ushuaia itself sits right against the Martial Glacier, so there's an impressive backdrop while you're getting ready to depart.

  3. Days 3 - 4

    Drake Passage Crossing

    You're crossing the Drake Passage over two days, and the Expedition Team uses this time to get you ready for Antarctica. Expert lectures cover Antarctic history, climate science, and how to travel responsibly in sensitive environments. If you want, you can join citizen science projects, use the spa and wellness area, or just relax in the Explorer Lounge and meet other passengers.

    Five days of Antarctic exploration await you. The Expedition Team organizes zodiac landings, ice cruises, and if conditions allow, kayaking among icebergs. You'll see towering glaciers, floating ice, and wildlife like whales and penguin chicks. Expert talks continue each day, and the Captain adjusts activities based on weather and ice conditions to give you the best experience possible.

    Drake Passage Return

    The journey back north across the Drake Passage gives you time to process everything you've seen. You can review your photos and videos, spend time in the onboard facilities, and if you want, book spa treatments or wellness services to relax after your Antarctic days.

  6. Day 12

    Ushuaia to Buenos Aires

    Your expedition ends when you arrive back in Ushuaia. A flight takes you back to Buenos Aires to wrap up your Antarctic adventure. If you're interested, there's an optional post-program you can add on before heading home, so you don't have to leave right away.

    • For any tour departing before March 1st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after March 1st, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Hurtigruten. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 120 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
