Buenos Aires
You'll arrive in Buenos Aires and check into your accommodation. The city's got this interesting blend of European architecture and Latin American energy, so there's quite a bit to discover. Whether you head to one of the local parrillas for some Argentine beef or wander into neighborhoods where tango got its start, the evening is yours to spend however you like getting a feel for the city.

Landmarks Buenos Aires - Day 2
Buenos Aires to Ushuaia
An early morning flight takes you south to Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city. Once you're aboard the hybrid electric expedition ship, the crew will walk you through what to expect on the journey. After you settle into your cabin, you'll have time to wander around the ship and get familiar with where everything is before heading out across the water.

Landmarks Ushuaia Martial Glacier - Days 3 - 4
Drake Passage Crossing
Crossing the Drake Passage takes two days, and the Expedition Team uses this time to get you ready for Antarctica. The Science Center has sessions about the continent's history, glaciers, climate patterns, and other details. Between the talks, you can relax in the wellness facilities, grab some meals, or chat with other travelers in the Explorer Lounge.

Landmarks Drake Passage - Days 5 - 9
Antarctica Exploration
Five days in Antarctica show you the massive icebergs and glaciers firsthand. The Expedition Team takes you on shore landings, ice cruises, and sometimes kayaking trips right among the floating ice. You'll spot whales during the December-March season and see penguin chicks in their colonies. Onboard lectures give context to what you're seeing each day, and weather or ice conditions determine what activities happen when.

Drake Passage Return Crossing
The journey back across the Drake Passage gives you a couple days to think about what you've seen. This is when many people organize their photos and videos from Antarctica. You can use the sauna or get a spa treatment, and there's plenty of time to just sit with how much you've experienced.

Landmarks Drake Passage - Day 12
Ushuaia to Buenos Aires
Your ship returns to Ushuaia, and then a flight brings you back to Buenos Aires. This marks the end of your Antarctic expedition. If you're interested, there's an optional post-program you could add on before heading home.
