Itinerary
- Day 1
Lindau
You'll arrive in Lindau by train and meet your guide at Hotel Lindauer Hof around 4 p.m. After a brief welcome meeting, a guided tour takes you through this medieval city to see the historic architecture, archways, and the painted town hall. The famous Bavarian harbor comes next, where you'll find the lighthouse and stone lion. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Lindau to Immenstadt
Start cycling on e-bikes along the Leiblach river into the Allgäu region. You'll pass through the Gothic pilgrimage church of St. Stephan in Genhofen, then continue across scenic Bavarian countryside. In the afternoon, take a break in Oberstaufen before cycling to Immenstadt, which offers views of the Größer Alpsee. Dinner at a local inn and you'll stay near Immenstadt.

Immenstadt to Hopferau
From Immenstadt, cycle along the Iller river banks with views of the Grünten massif. You'll climb to the Rottach reservoir for lunch in a quiet setting. After that, pedal through Memersch (the tour's highest point at 1000m/3281 feet), Oy-Mittelberg, and Maria Rain to reach Nesselwang. The route continues through forests and villages with the Zugspitze and Tannheim Mountains visible before arriving at Hopferau. Dinner and overnight at the 15th-century Schloss Hopferau.

Landmarks/POIs Rottach Reservoir Grünten Zugspitze - Day 4
Hopferau
You'll cycle through the Allgäu and Tyrolean mountains, passing castles, ruins, and palaces along the way. Farmland leads to Speiden with its Mariahilf pilgrimage church. Cross into Tyrol past the Falkenstein ruins and Vilsegg fortifications, then return to Germany to see Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles from the outside. After crossing the Lech Bridge and passing Lake Hopfensee, return to Hopferau Castle. Dinner at a restaurant in Hopfen am See and overnight at the castle.

Hopferau to Bad Kohlgrub
After a short bike ride, park your e-bikes and take the Tegelbergbahn cable car up to Tegelberg at 1880m/6168 feet for panoramic views of King Ludwig's castles and a chance to spot ibexes on a short hike. Come back down and cycle through the Ammergau Mountains forest past Bannwaldsee to reach the rococo Wieskirche, a UNESCO site. Continue via Königsstraße to Bad Kohlgrub. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Schillingshof.

Bad Kohlgrub to Bad Tölz
Cycle toward Grafenaschau on the Murnauer Moos, passing the farming village of Ohlstadt with its Kaulbach Villa and Schwaiganger Stud Farm. Take a long break at Kochel am See, where you can optionally check out the Franz Marc Museum to see works by Marc and Kandinsky. Later, pass through Benediktbeuern with its monastery dating back over 1,250 years, then cycle through Bad Heilbrunn between Blomberg and Stallauer Weiher to Bad Tölz. In the evening, walk around the lively market street and historic spa district.

Bad Tölz to Tegernsee
Cycle from Bad Tölz via Gaibach through the Attenloher Filze to Reichersbeuern, where you'll see the striking church tower and picturesque Reichersbeuern Castle, now a private high school. A scenic descent brings you to Lake Tegernsee. Finish your cycling journey with a boat trip across the lake, taking in the Alpine views. You'll have a glass of sparkling wine to celebrate. Final dinner and overnight at the luxury Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt directly on the lakeshore in Rottach-Egern.

Tegernsee to Lindau
After breakfast, the tour ends. Tegernsee has good train connections to Munich's main station in about one hour. Alternatively, a minibus return to Lindau is available, though it's a longer journey of around 230 km and approximately 3 hours of travel time.
