- Day 1
Reykjavik
Your trip begins in Reykjavik, where you'll wander along Laugavegur and check out local boutiques and outdoor shops. The striking Hallgrímskirkja Church is right there to see, and the Reykjavik Art Museum is worth a few hours if you're interested. If you have extra time before the cruise starts, there's a Pre-Program option that takes you to Iceland's natural highlights, which many people find helpful for getting the lay of the land.

At Sea to Greenland
You'll settle into your cruise as the ship heads toward the Greenland Sea. The Expedition Team gives talks about what's ahead and goes over wildlife protocols and safety. There's plenty to do on board: the hot tub and sauna are nice for relaxing, the onboard science center has interesting exhibits, or you can join a Citizen Science project if that appeals to you. If you just want to unwind with a book and a hot drink, that works too.

East Greenland Exploration
The next 10 days are spent exploring Greenland's remote east coast. You'll sail into Scoresby Sund, which is the world's largest fjord system with white and blue icebergs floating in clear waters. Depending on weather and ice conditions, the Captain and Expedition Team take you to Ittoqqortoormiit (a remote community) and Northeast Greenland National Park, the world's largest national park. Activities include shore landings, small boat cruises, nature walks, kayaking, and looking for wildlife.

Return to Iceland
After leaving Greenland, the ship heads back toward Iceland. During these sea days, you'll recap your experiences with other travelers, spend time in the Science Center studying what you've observed, listen to expert lectures, or just relax on deck. Keep watch for seabirds following the ship and stay alert for whales.

Reykjavik
Your expedition wraps up back in Reykjavik. You can explore the city's museums and galleries, check out the restaurant scene, and visit the geothermal pools. There's also a Post-Program option if you want to see more of Iceland's natural attractions, or you can just extend your stay in Reykjavik and its geothermal areas on your own.
