Haoran· September 20th, 2024We had a great time. Our guide Lucky was friendly and personable. He drove carefully. The JNB airport pickup was prompt. We had a meeting and welcome dinner. The nexxt morning, we drove to Kruger National Park and stayed in a lodge for 3 nights. It took almost one day to reach the lodge. The lodge was fine, with good breakfasts and clean rooms. During the next two days, we did game drives. We saw so many elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, and impalas. We also saw lions 3 times, and leopards 1 time from afar. After Kruger, we had another long day driving to a private game reserve for 2 nights. The tent we stayed was nice, with private bathroom. We did a sunset game drive and saw some animals. After another long day driving on some of the worst roads and 2 boader crossings, we stayed in a lodge for 1 night. In the next morning, we visited a place that looked a lot like a desert, and saw some animals. Then we drove about 5 hour to Chobe National Park. We stayed in a nice lodge for 2 nights. Since we arrived at the lodge before 3 PM, we were able to do an optional sunset game drive provided by the lodge. On this drive, we saw a pride of lions, with at least 12 members. The next morning, on the morning game drive, we also saw many animals. And after a long chase, we even saw a leopard eating a impala on a tree. Our 4X4 was parked right below the tree. The sunset cruise also was productive. The drive to Victoria Falls was short. The hotel we stayed was about a 20 minute walk to the falls. Given the hot weather, it was best to take a $10 taxi ride. The hotel room was not as good as the previous ones.Show more
