- Day 1
Phnom Penh
You'll land in Phnom Penh with a welcome meeting scheduled for 6 pm. If your flight gets in earlier, there's time to wander around and see the French colonial architecture scattered throughout the city. The National Museum is worth a stop if you want to see classic Khmer craftsmanship up close. Wat Phnom sits on a peaceful hilltop and makes for a nice break before evening. Once the sun starts setting, head down to Sisowath Quay along the river where you can grab coffee or a cocktail and watch the city wind down.

Phnom Penh
This day focuses on Cambodia's most difficult history. You'll visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek to understand the Khmer Rouge period. After that, the afternoon shifts to the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, Cambodia's most sacred temple, which provides important cultural context. By evening, you'll head to a riverside cafe to process the day and have some quiet time by the water.

Phnom Penh to Battambang
Early morning you'll take a local train to Battambang, Cambodia's second-largest city. The ride itself is part of the experience. Once there, you'll notice the French colonial architecture right away, along with animal and divinity statues lining the streets. Your afternoon is free, so you can head up to Wat Banan temple for views over the Sang Ke River, check out the Killing Caves of Phnom Sampeau, or just walk the riverfront where locals do yoga and folk dancing in the evenings.

Battambang
This morning starts with a bike tour around rural Cambodia through Soksabike, a local social enterprise. You'll pick up basic Khmer phrases and cycle through the countryside, stopping at local families who make rice paper, dried bananas, and bamboo sticky rice. There's a Khmer Rouge memorial site along the route, and you'll spend time in someone's home. Your free afternoon lets you watch local circus and music school rehearsals, see young painters working, or take an optional cooking class if that interests you.

- Day 5
Battambang to Siem Reap
A private vehicle takes you to Siem Reap, the main hub for reaching the UNESCO World Heritage Angkor complex and the most visited place in Cambodia. When you arrive, head to the old market where silks, cottons, sarongs, silver work, and statues fill the stalls. The area has a strong shadow puppetry tradition, so there's a chance you might catch a show at a restaurant this evening if one's happening.

Angkor Complex
You'll spend the full day exploring Angkor, a UNESCO site built between the 9th and 13th centuries. A remork-moto (Cambodian tuk-tuk) with an all-female crew from Drivers Srey will be your transport, and you'll have a local guide with you. The day covers Angkor Wat (the largest structure with its unusual west-facing entrance), the Bayon, and Ta Prohm, where the jungle has grown over the temple ruins. The complex spreads across roughly 160 square kilometers, so there's no shortage of photo opportunities throughout the day.

Angkor Complex
Get up early to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat if the weather cooperates. After that, you'll continue through the Angkor complex highlights with a private van and guide. The rest of your day opens up for recovery time. If you want something more active, there's an Angkor zip-line course that gives you a bird's-eye view of the rainforest, or you could take a cooking class and experience Cambodia through its food instead.

Sambor Prei Kuk
You'll drive to Sambor Prei Kuk for a homestay with a local family. Upon arrival, a village tour with your guide introduces you to local life and your host family. Nearby temple ruins date back to the 6th century and are worth exploring. After lunch, you'll cycle through the village to see rice fields and local handicraft production happening. Evening brings a traditional Khmer dinner cooked and shared with your host family in their home.

Sambor Prei Kuk to Kampot
A private vehicle takes you to Kampot, one of Cambodia's nicest old towns. It's become famous for its pepper and durian plantations. You'll stroll along the riverside and take in the French colonial architecture while your leader shares the town's history. Find a riverside restaurant for coffee with views of the Bokor Mountain Range. If you're interested, Seeing Hands offers traditional massage and supports blind Cambodians in the process.

Landmarks/POIs Bokor Mountain Range - Day 10
Kampot Province
Today you'll explore Kampot Province's countryside and find several worthwhile stops. Start at the Pepper Project to learn why international chefs consider Kampot pepper the world's best. See Cambodia's only salt field and walk through rice paddies. Phnom Chhnork limestone cave has a small 7th-century brick temple tucked inside it. Then head to Kep, a former prestigious beach town from the 1900s-1960s, where oceanfront buildings and villas stand as reminders of the Khmer Rouge era.

Kampot to Koh Rong Island
You'll travel by private bus to Sihanoukville, then continue by speedboat to Koh Rong Island, a Cambodian paradise with some of the country's best white sand beaches. The island has options for relaxing on the sand, swimming in cool water, or jungle trekking if you want to explore. Over the next couple of days, most of your time is free with plenty of opportunities for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and beach time. Your leader will point you toward the best activities and places to eat.

Koh Rong Island
Your second day on Koh Rong Island is completely free. Swim, snorkel, kayak, or just chill on the beach. You can do as much or as little as feels right after the travel and activities of the previous days.

Koh Rong Island to Phnom Penh
A private vehicle brings you back to Phnom Penh after your island time. Once you arrive, the afternoon is yours to explore or shop. Head to Chatomok where the Tonle Bassac, Tonle Sap, and Mekong Rivers meet for a nice view of the city's geography. Your Cambodian journey ends with a celebratory farewell dinner, and early evening you'll wander through market stalls selling local specialties before the trip concludes.
