- JJames· August 11th, 2025The itinerary would greatly benefit from getting rid of catching public transport in Spain and Portugal and just chartering a bus instead. I mean you do a tour if you're not going to rent a car, so you see the stuff between point A and B. When you use public transport you don't see that stuff. For example in both Spain on the Lisbon free day I did a day trip to Sintra, Cabo da Roca (most western point of mainland Europe), Quinta da Regaleira (really interesting place) and Pena Palace. We could have either done this as part of the G Trip instead of the unnecessary free day (since you could see Lisbon in an hour or two on the day you arrive). Or on the way to or from Lisbon if we were using a charter bus. Likewise out of Seville I did Setenil de las Bodegas, a Spanish town where many houses are built into the cliffs as well as Rosa another interesting town. These could easily have been included on the tour. Where we did stop or spent the nights were some good places But Olhão in Portugal. was a dull and boring place, nothing worth seeing there. Evora, Portugal, bone church not as good as ones in Kutna Hora and other places, and not much there besides that. In Morocco we could have used more time in Tangier. Volubilis, Morocco, a Roman settlement from 3 BC. Very hot there, and well if you've seen one Roman or similar ruins, you've seen them all. Fez some of the stuff on the day tour, why does whoever does the itinerary think anyone would want to go to a Tannery? Or the silk weaving place or the other pointless sales pitch places. I mean the pottery place, severe WH&S issues there, Plus the quality of the pottery was pretty mediocre compared to other pottery places G, Intrepid and other tours I've been on have gone to. The guy running the tour there seemed like a snake oil salesman. You can't really break these plates, then why in the gift shop did heaps of them have chips in them? Casablanca, it would have been nice to go to Rick's Cafe when it was actually open which was at midday so doable if we didn't waste time going to the most dull on the inside mosque ever built. Seriously this could have been any cheap hotel's foyer. Longer in Casablanca overall is definitely needed. So much to see there, that we didn't. The perfume/herbs sales pitch place on the Marrakesh local tour also was very snake oily in nature. CEOs (guides) were good on both continents, Benedetta (Europe) and Karima (Morocco). Both cared about all of us on tour, wanted us to have a great experience and gladly organised stuff or answered questions.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for your honest review and beautiful photos, James! - CVCarmen· June 29th, 2023The whole trip was a great experience. Our tour guide in Spain was the best, Sarah, was always giving us the best tips for a great adventure, excellent recommendations, and always very caring about our group. The group of fellow travelers was wonderful too, we made a great group. Morroco was great, our guides shared with us all their knowledge about that great country! Overall, there was walking involved, but totally doable and worth it!Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewWe are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your adventure with us. - AKaren Van Heyst· June 6th, 2022Kassidy and I loved the trip. I?d do another g adventures trip in a heartbeat. My big suggestion would be that if a group of people sign up that want a reunion atmosphere I would encourage a private tour.Show moreTrip date: April 2022Review collected by G Adventures
- AJulie Kiefer· June 7th, 2022In the five G! tours my husband and I have taken (including our honeymoon to Antarctica), this is the best group with whom we have traveled. The twelve us of ranged in age from the late teens to senior citizens and came from all over the world. One of the younger participants summarized it well when she said near the end of the trip that it does not feel that we just met and went to three countries together, because we feel like a family already. This is why my husband and I keep coming back to G! Other programs may offer cheaper ways to travel, or we could spend hours trying to book the activities on our own. However, it is worth every penny to see new sights, make new friends, all the while not having to worry about the stress of not having to buy tickets for the attractions, book the hotels, etc. We already cannot wait to take Adventure #6.Show moreTrip date: May 2022Review collected by G Adventures

- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
Laundry facilities are offered by some of our hotels for a charge or ask your CEO where the closest laundromat is. You will be able to this where you have 2 night stops. There will be times when you may want to or have to do your own laundry so we suggest you bring non-polluting/biodegradable soap.
