Itinerary
- Day 1
Windhoek to Etosha National Park
You'll arrive in Windhoek the day before and attend a pre-departure meeting at 18:00. On Day 1, you head out early at 08:00 toward Etosha National Park. After a short game drive to get you oriented, you'll settle in at camp where there's a floodlit watering hole. If you're lucky, you might catch sight of elephants, giraffe, hyenas, and lions coming to drink as the sun sets.

- Day 2
Etosha National Park
This entire day is dedicated to game drives across Etosha National Park. The park hosts a wide variety of mammals and birds, so you'll stop whenever wildlife appears. The landscape is dry and barren, which actually makes spotting animals easier. Depending on where the wildlife is and what your tour leader thinks, you may stay at the same camp or move to a different location.

Landmarks Etosha National Park - Day 3
Etosha National Park to Spitzkoppe
You leave Etosha and drive into Damaraland, heading toward Spitzkoppe mountain peak. Here you'll walk through well-preserved Bushmen paintings and see rock formations that reach 1,800 metres above sea level. The rocks shift colour as the sun moves across the sky, and both sunrise and sunset are particularly nice to watch. You'll camp at the base of the mountain and have time to relax with a drink while taking in the sunset views.

- Days 4 - 5
Swakopmund
You continue exploring Swakopmund on your own schedule. Spend time walking around the colonial architecture, grabbing coffee at one of the local cafes, or picking one of the optional activities if something catches your interest. The quad-biking, sand boarding, skydiving, and dolphin cruises are all available if you want to do something beyond just wandering the town.

Landmarks Swakopmund 

- Day 6
Swakopmund to Solitaire Area
You head south from Swakopmund and cross the Tropic of Capricorn with a photo stop along the way. After that, you'll continue to your desert campsite in the Khomas region. The drive takes you through open landscape with wide views, and by evening you'll be settled at camp in a remote desert setting.

- Day 7
Sesriem Area
You head into Namib-Naukluft National Park to see Dune 45, a massive sand dune over 300 metres high. If you're feeling up to it, you can try climbing it. After that, you drive deeper into the park to reach Deadvlei, a white clay pan surrounded by golden dunes and dead trees that give the place an eerie quality. The landscape shifts in colour as the sun moves, so bring your camera. You'll stop at Sesriem Canyon on the way to camp for the night.

- Day 8
Sesriem Area to Fish River Canyon
You drive south through desert scenery toward Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon. It's over 500 metres deep and stretches 160km across the landscape. You'll stop at a couple of viewpoints and see the canyon's famous sharp bend called 'Hell's Corner'. The sheer scale of the place is something you have to see in person to really appreciate.

Landmarks Fish River Canyon - Day 9
Fish River Canyon to Orange River (Gariep)
You travel south to the Orange River, also called the Gariep, which marks the border between Namibia and South Africa. You'll stay on the Namibian side. If you're interested, there's an optional canoe safari where you can explore the surrounding scenery from the water instead of just driving through.

Landmarks Orange River - Day 10
Orange River to Cederberg Region, South Africa
This morning you cross the border into South Africa. You drive south through Namaqualand, and if you're travelling in spring from August to September, you'll see beautiful wildflowers across the landscape. By afternoon you reach your riverside accommodation in the Cederberg region. There's optional wine tasting available if you want to sample some of the local wines.

Landmarks Cederberg Region - Day 11
Cederberg Region to Cape Town
You complete your journey to Cape Town, South Africa's 'Mother City', where the tour ends. The city is home to Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront, and spectacular scenery all around. There's plenty to explore if you decide to stay longer, so consider booking post-tour accommodation to spend more time here after the tour finishes.
