- Day 1
Arrival in Mexico City
You'll arrive in Mexico City and head to your hotel to settle in. This is your chance to rest up before the next two weeks of exploration begin.
- Day 2
Mexico City
Start with the Museo del Templo Mayor to see Aztec ruins and artifacts right in the city center. After that, walk through the Zócalo and visit the cathedrals, then make your way to Xochimilco where you'll take a boat through the floating gardens, a unique experience that shows how the Aztecs built on water.

Mexico City
Begin at the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso Museum, then head to the Anthropological Museum, which holds the most important collection in the city. In the afternoon, walk around Chapultepec Park, and by evening head up Torre Latinoamericana, a 44-story building with views across Mexico City.

Mexico City to Puebla
Drive north to the Basílica Guadalupe, one of Latin America's most significant pilgrimage sites. From there, continue to Teotihuacán to see the large pre-Columbian ruins, then drive south to Puebla for an evening city visit.

Puebla to Oaxaca
Stop at the Jardín Botánico in Zapotitlán Salinas to see local plant life, then continue to Monte Albán where you'll see ruins built on a naturally flattened ridge with terraces, temples, and tombs spread across the site.

Oaxaca

Oaxaca to Tehuantepec
Head to Santa María del Tule to see its small church and the over 2,000-year-old Tree of Tule. Later, explore the Mitla archaeological site built mainly by the Zapotecs, visit a mezcal distillery in Santiago Matatitlán, then continue to the Pacific coast before arriving in Tehuantepec.

Visit Palenque, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was a major Mayan city. From there, drive to Campeche and take a tour of the town after you arrive.

Campeche to Mérida
Drive to Uxmal, founded in the 10th century, then head to Mérida, the capital of Yucatán. Mérida has colonial character and local culture worth exploring. You'll tour the town after arriving.

Mérida to Cancún / Riviera Maya
Drive to Chichén Itzá to visit the archaeological site with nearly 30 restored buildings. Then continue to the Caribbean coast and arrive at your hotel in Cancún or the Riviera Maya, where you can extend your stay if you want.
