Itinerary
- Day 1
Ulaanbaatar
Your guide meets you at arrival and takes you to the hotel to settle in. Once you've dropped your bags, the day starts with the National History Museum where you'll walk through exhibits covering Mongolia's past. After that, you'll head to Sukhbaatar Square to see Parliament House and get a feel for the city center. The Chinggis Khaan Museum comes next, and it holds thousands of artifacts that tell the story of the empire. By evening, you'll catch a colorful Mongolian Folklore concert and have a welcome dinner to start your trip right.

- Day 2
Ulaanbaatar to Bayangobi
After breakfast, you check out and climb into a 4x4 jeep for the drive into the countryside. First stop is Gandan monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in the region with around 500 monks living there. From there, you continue to Bayangobi, a semi-desert area with golden sand dunes and mountains. You'll meet a nomadic family and learn how they live, then try horseback or camel riding across the dunes and steppe. The night is spent at Sweet Gobi eco camp, which offers 5-star services and accommodations.

Bayangobi to Orkhon Valley
After breakfast, you head to Tuvkhun Monastery and make your way up to the summit either by horse or on foot. Once there, you'll explore the monastery where Zanabazar developed the Soyombo alphabet back in the 16th century. Lunch is a picnic at the top with views of the Khangai Mountains stretching out around you. From there, you continue to Ursa Major Eco camp which sits above the Orkhon Valley. The location is ideal for watching the night sky, so you'll get clear views of the stars after dark.

Orkhon Valley
The day takes you to Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site where nomadic breeders spend their summers. You'll see Ulaan Tsutgalan Waterfall and walk around the area to take in the landscape. Back at the ger camp, dinner is served in an open space with the valley's scenery as your backdrop.

Karakorum
You travel to Karakorum, the ancient capital chosen by Chinggis Khaan for his empire, located within Orkhon Valley. The Erdenezuu monastery is your first stop, built in the 16th century and ringed by 108 sacred stupas. You'll also visit the Karakorum museum, then check out Phallic Rock and Turtle Rock on the grounds. For the night, you stay at Munktenger ger camp in luxury gers that have private bathrooms.

Karakorum to Khustai National Park
Khustai National Park is your destination, known for its Przewalski wild horses that were brought back to the wild here. You'll search through the park to find and observe these rare horses, and you'll also see other mammals, plants, and wildlife. At HS Khaan Resort, one of Mongolia's most luxurious ger camps, your ger is spacious at over 120 square meters and decorated with traditional Mongolian pieces. Your private jacuzzi overlooks the open steppe.

Khustai National Park to Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, you drive back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel. The day is yours to explore the city however you'd like. You're staying at the Shangri-La, a 5-star hotel, so the night will be comfortable after your time in the countryside.
