You can exchange your currency at the airport without any large fees. Please go with an open mind. There are poor people you will encounter. So many historical places and museums to see. The cruise is great. My only disappointment was that the hot air balloon was cancelled due to bad weather. Tour was well organized. Our initial tour guide was unable to complete due to medical emergency but was replaced by another knowledgeable guide Ahmed Kassem. Pre - tour communication was excellent , answering my questions and putting some confidence in us for the tour. Everything mostly went smoothly during the tour and were happy with the result. We must say the hotel accommodation and river cruise boat " Renaissance" exceeded our expectations. The only thing we think could improve is a more detailed itinerary either printed or sent by email. Having to rely on Whats App (or asking the guide) all the time was frustrating especially for technology challenged people. Carey· June 2nd, 2025This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had…Best to describe in three sections: 1) Safety - Prior to booking this trip, I had many safety concerns and was unsure if this was a smart decision. However, upon arriving at Cairo, at no time did I feel unsafe in any way. The driver was exactly where he said he would be at the airport and took us directly to our hotel. During the tours, there was never a moment when I felt any danger or unsure of a situation. 2) Tours - The tours were amazing and our guide, Ahmed, spent all the time needed to ensure we got all the information we needed/wanted. We visited: the Pyramids (including camelback ride), Philae Temple, Nubian Village, Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, Dendera Temple, and took a hot air balloon ride. All tours were top notch and very well run by our guide. 3) Accommodations - I am very high maintenance and these accommodations were impressive to me. They put us in excellent hotels and the Nile Cruise boat was outstanding. Everything was clean and provided a great atmosphere after our tours. Meals were great and provided a wonderful variety. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and looking to help make our time special. Ahmed was an incredible guide and, by the end of the tour, we felt sad as if we were leaving a family member. He totally made our time unforgettable and we are very appreciative to him. Communication was also done very timely and clear. There were no surprises. I strongly recommend this tour and company. Our only issue was lack of preparation due to lack of detailed itinerary from the providers of the tour. For example....We got off the flight from Cairo into Aswan wearing travel clothes and taken straight to the Pyramids. Apart from the normal heat which we did expect, we experienced a heat wave without appropriate clothing or shoe wear to manage the visit. It certainly took away from the experience. Leading up to the tour, I had messaged Tour Radar sight many times asking for a proper itinerary, and I was simply diverted to the 'basic sight' sales version which by the way was incorrect. This right up to the day we were leaving two weeks before hand. I did get a copy eventually, 5 days into our tour sent to my email. Alais this was not all correct as well. The hotels were beautiful, the cruise ship was good (the crew are a little pushy about being of service, and then definitely to get good reviews at the end, but I don't blame them). The tour started off good and kept getting better. Our guides, Ahmed Kassem and Sohalia Fuad (the latter just one day) were great. I really liked that the company let us customize the tour and add things at the end, and you could opt out of some things. I also really liked that unlike the huge tour groups on big buses we could arrive earlier to areas and avoid the biggest crowds. - Garry· April 11th, 2025We had a wonderful tour in Egypt. We were a little concerned before we arrived about how safe Egypt would be but we found no issues at all. There is a lot of security everywhere & at no time did we feel threatened. Definitely having a guide with you is a must. Both our tour guides Sohaila and Ahmed Kassem were excellent. They were very informative & easy to understand. Ahmed especially is a great story teller & really creates a great mood. They really helped to bond the group together as well . Sohaila was with us for the Giza & Cairo tour then we met Ahmed after flying to Aswan. He was with us then for the remainder of the tour. I think flying to Aswan was a better idea than the long train journey which one of our group did. All the sites were amazing but at times very busy especially on the cruise where all the boats arrive to sites around the same time. We had the unfortunate issue of one person in our group falling over & breaking their ankle & Ahmed handled the situation incredibly well by ensuring that they received medical care very quickly. Some of the days were very long meaning very early starts which meant that having breakfast before you left was impossible & the breakfast boxes that were supplied were not good. The hotels & the cruise boat were excellent. We did the tour to Dendera at the end of the tour with Ahmed & it was one of the highlights for us. There were no crowds & the temple is the best preserved that we saw. Our tours typically cover around 90% of all meals. Domestic flights, airport pickup upon arrival in Cairo, and drop-off at the end of the tour are all included in the package price. We work with all airlines in egypt, depending on availability of flights at our preferred take of time. The flight from cairo to aswan is around 1 hour, and the same from luxor back to cairo at the end of the tour.
