Asked on March 19th, 2025I am wondering if you could provide any support for the visa application process? Would you be able to provide any supporting letter with itinerary that we could show to the Spain embassy? If unfortunately our visa applications are not approved, would you fully refund any deposit or payments?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
For the visa we are not able to apply for this on your behalf however we are able to help with any supporting documentation you may need from us for the visa application. Up to 30th day prior to departure: Your 20% non-refundable deposit is saved on your file as Lifetime Deposit towards a future tour. Tour Radar does provide insurance plans to help cover any non-refundable fees.

Asked on March 9th, 2025What type of plug adapter do I need for the accommodations?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
Spain uses a Type F plug which has two circular prongs. Make sure to bring an adapter if your devices use a different type.

Asked on February 5th, 2025How far in advance should I arrive at the airport for domestic flights?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written February 2025
You should arrive at least 2 hours before your flight departure.

Asked on February 1st, 2025How many miles per day do we walk? Would we be arriving to 'overnight' towns in time to find Catholic Churches (to attend Mass)? Have 'hotels' been vetted for cleanliness? Am I able to book a single room? Do we carry our own luggage?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written February 2025
Be prepared to hike an average of 6 to 10 hrs per day, approx. 20-25 km per day, with some shorter and longer days along the way. Usually the hikes start in the morning so you would have time in town to relax or sightsee or visit churches! The hotels we use are standard (2 and 3 star). Our operational team and local office vet the hotels used. If you have booked the 'My Own Room' option, you will receive your own single accommodation for all night stops, with some exceptions. Single room accommodations in European hotels are often smaller, and may not be to the same service level as double-occupancy rooms.

Asked on January 28th, 2025How can I travel back to North Carolina from Santiago de Compostela? Are there direct flights or transfer services?
- L
Lucy
Traveler•Written January 2025What are the insurance requirements for the tour?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written January 2025
To get back from Santiago de Compostela you can take a flight from SCL-MAD or SCL back to the USA, or you can take a train with Rail Europe. We do not have tours that include returning to Madrid from Santiago de Compostela.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written January 2025
It is mandatory to have Emergency Medical Travel Insurance that covers: (1) Medical Expenses, (2) Emergency evacuation benefit, and (3) Repatriation to home country. The combined medical expenses, evacuation and repatriation benefits must cover at least 200,000.00 USD per traveller. Cancellation insurance is optional but recommended.

Asked on January 22nd, 2025Is there someone I can speak with? I am vegan, and want to ensure there will be food available that I can eat. Also, how many people are there per group? If I share a room, how do you pair people up? Is a tour guide with you throughout the walk? Do you handle suitcases so walkers do not have to carry them?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written January 2025
1) We do welcome vegans on our tours, but food options might be a bit more limited than those without dietary requirements. Snacks would be essential during your tour. 2) Our tours accommodate a maximum of 16 travellers but we usually book an average of 12 per departure. 3) You will be twin-sharing with someone of the same gender if you are a solo traveller and do not opt for a single supplement at an additional cost. 4) The CEO will be with you from day 1 until the end of your tour so you will be well taken care of. 5) A support vehicle is available on every day to carry your main luggage, you will need to have a day pack large enough to fit whatever you require for each day hiking. Please note that only one bag is permitted per traveller, which cannot exceed 20kg/45lbs.
