Our two guides Samu and Tswola were super nice, organized and helpful. The accommodations were brilliant, and very different. The safari rancher showed us with much passion not only the Big5! The care was excellent, we would definitely recommend the tour!!!

Accommodations were perfect locations. The 2 guides were more like family as we were only 3 travellers. Had an amazing time. Should extend to a 7 day tour given the 2 days lost travelling to and from Kruger. Would definitely travel with Drifters again.

I am a solo traveler. I'm interested in finding out what kind of single supplements or surcharges I would have to pay if any.

    Single supplement
    • Drifters Adventure ToursOperatorWritten April 2023

We have guaranteed tours on the 2 september 16 september, 23rd september and 30th september. Regarding the single supplement, at the moment the tours are not full so you may end up getting a single by default, however should you want to secure a single exclusively the additional cost will be Euros 240, this cost is for the 7 nights where we stay in permanent structured lodge accommodation and the sole use of a mobile tent on tour

    Asked on January 5th, 2023

Would I need to bring a sleeping bag for this trip? Air mattress? I am 75 but used to wilderness camping so would I be able to take this trip? I'm thinking the February 11 departure. Where would we be picked up in the 11th?

    • Drifters Adventure ToursOperatorWritten January 2023

No, sleeping bags and camping mattresses are not provided for on our camping tours. It is up to the client to bring their own sleeping bag, pillow and travel mat (If they require). Please bear in mind that you need to be walking fit and able to get in and out of the Drifters truck + the 4x4 safari vehicles with ease. Regrettably at this stage the 11th February Botswana Camping tour is on provisional status; we require a minimum of 4 confirmed guests in order to guarantee it. The 16 Day tour starts and ends at ONOMO Signature Lux Hotel in Sandton. Yes, we would recommend you bring mosquito repellent with you to Botswana.

Would you take a 72 year old?

    Tour Details
    • Drifters Adventure ToursOperatorWritten December 2022

A 72 year old is no problem as long as they are fit and healthy and can climb in and out of the truck. We do not have a departure on the 8 July. To be safe I would book our 1 July departure that is already guaranteed and had 6 people on already.
