Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo to Siwa Oasis
Early morning you'll head out from Cairo in a private limousine toward Siwa Oasis, traveling through the Western Desert. Along the way, there's a stop at the AL Alamein World War II Museum to break up the drive. Later you'll pull into Marsa Matrouh on the Mediterranean coast for lunch before continuing on to Siwa. By afternoon you'll arrive and check into your hotel to settle in for the evening.

Siwa Oasis
After breakfast, you'll spend the full day exploring Siwa's historical sites and natural areas. Start by walking through Shali Old Town, which features traditional mud-brick buildings and historic architecture. Next you'll head to the Siwa Museum, set in a traditional Siwan home and displaying silver jewelry, musical instruments, wedding costumes, baskets, and ceramics. Then visit Amoun Temple from the 30th Dynasty and the Oracle Temple where Alexander the Great came to consult the oracle. Around midday, grab lunch at a local cafeteria near Cleopatra Spring. In the afternoon, travel to Bir Wahed where hot and cold springs meet the Great Sand Sea. You'll watch the sunset over the dunes before heading to a Bedouin camp for dinner.

Siwa Oasis to Cairo
After breakfast, you'll leave Siwa Oasis and cross back through the Western Desert toward Cairo. The drive takes you back to your Cairo hotel, wrapping up the program.
