Asked on January 29th, 2024What is the hiking skill ability required for this trip? Is it only for people who regularly hike and are super fit?
- People Travel and ExperienceOperator•Written January 2024
Everyone can join this trip. If you like walking and staying in contact with nature you will love this trip. The treks are moderate and a mountain guide + a tour leader will be with you all the time to help you and the rest of the group.

Traveler•Written January 2024Are there similar Patagonia tours starting 26th feb to 4th March with a slightly younger average age?
- People Travel and ExperienceOperator•Written January 2024
On this group departure starting on March 2, we have 1 passenger of 40 years and 3 passengers that are making final arrangements of 35 - 45 years. We have another group departure starting on February 17th with younger people with ages of 30, 37, 40 years.

Asked on November 23rd, 2023How long is the daily walking, and which is the best time, january or February. Also, what ages is average? I am 59 years old. What is the group size?

Traveler•Written November 2023How much should i allow for extras like park entrance fees and other optional extras? Do you have a list of costs please?
- People Travel and ExperienceOperator•Written November 2023
All our group departures have 14 passengers maximum and the average age is 50 years. Most of our passengers are from 30 - 70 years old. I would suggest traveling in January instead of February because February used to be more crowded but both months are great in terms of weather conditions.

Asked on December 29th, 2022Hi what time would I need to arrive in El Calafete on the 15th?
- People Travel and ExperienceOperator•Written December 2022
At the moment we dont have any other passengers confirmed for this tour starting on January 15 th. This means that we can run this tour but as an independent tour just for you which means: - Share transfers and tours - For your days at El Chalten there will be a mountain trekking guide just for you which means that you will be able to coordinate with him the walking rythm according to your preferences. - You can book the flights that best suit you as you will be the only one for this tour.

Asked on November 18th, 2022What fitness level is required? We just finished the Camino Frances (Camino de Santiago) last month. We are both in our late 60's. Is there an option for easy hikes/climbs?
- People Travel and ExperienceOperator•Written November 2022
To do this trek you don't need any specific preparation but you do need to be in a good shape to walk for 7/8 hours. If during any of the treks you prefer to go back earlier or just to take the day off and relax at the hotel won't any problem at all. As a second option we can change any of these treks for a full day tour to Lago de desierto, which is located 36 km from EL Chalten where you will be able to visit the area with just a navigation + a short trek of 1 hour máximum.

Asked on September 21st, 2022can you provide details about the length of the hikes for each of the three days of hiking?
- People Travel and ExperienceOperator•Written September 2022
Our group departure starting on March 10 th still don't have other passengers confirmed but we can definitely open it for you. Day 3 - Laguna de los Tres, Mount Fitz Roy: moderate trek, takes around 8/9 hours in total. Distance around 25 km in total (15.5 miles) and total elevation from El Chalten is 2300 feet. Day 4 - Laguna Torre: moderate trek that takes around 7/8 hours in total. Distance is 19 km in total (12 miles) and total elevation from El Chalten is 800 feet. Day 5 - Loma del Pliegue Tumbado: moderate trek of 8 hours. Distance is 21 km (13 miles) and total elevation from El Chalten is 850 miles. If you prefer not to do any treks, you can stay at the hotel or we can change a trek for another activity.
