Itinerary
- Day 1
Amman
You'll arrive at the airport and get transferred to your hotel in Amman. If you land early, there's time to grab coffee and ara'yes at a local cafe or walk through the Old Town to see the Roman Amphitheatre or Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. A welcome meeting happens at 6 pm with your group and local leader, followed by a group dinner with traditional dishes like mansaf and kunafa.

Jerash - Amman
Head north from Amman to Jerash to see Greco-Roman ruins from the 1st and 2nd centuries. Your leader walks you through archways, theatres, baths, and colonnaded streets, explaining the city's history. The Oval Plaza at the center is particularly impressive. Back in Amman by afternoon, you'll go to a cooking school where you'll make Maqlubeh, Mutabbal, and Baba Ghanouj, then eat what you've prepared as a group.

Amman to Dead Sea
Drive from Amman toward the Dead Sea, stopping at Mount Nebo to learn about Moses viewing the Promised Land, and St Georges Church to see the Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land. Once you arrive at the Dead Sea, float in the intensely salty water, relax on the beachfront, or use the infinity pool. The high salt content makes it impossible to sink, which takes some getting used to.

Dead Sea to Petra
Leave the Dead Sea and drive south to Shobak, where your leader explains the Crusader castle's role as a fortress protecting the Latin Kingdom until Saladin captured it in 1189. Stop at a viewpoint overlooking Dana Nature Reserve for photos and the view. You'll reach Petra in late afternoon and start exploring with your leader, walking through the Siq to see the Treasury facade carved into the rock face.

Petra
Spend the day at Petra exploring at your own pace. Walk back through the Siq, where walls rise up to 180 meters on either side, creating a narrow passage through the sandstone. You can climb to the Monastery for views of the entire site or take a free transfer to Little Petra to hike through an alternate route. The on-site cafeteria has light lunch options. Consider the evening Petra by Night experience, where the Treasury Plaza glows by candlelight with Bedouin music.

Landmarks/POIs Petra The Siq The Monastery Little Petra - Day 6
Petra to Wadi Rum
Drive to Wadi Rum, a protected desert with sandstone mountains and canyons. Lunch happens in the village of Rum, then you'll transfer into a local jeep with Bedouin guides. You'll visit rock formations and experience the quiet desert landscape. Dinner is zarb, cooked in an underground oven at the Bedouin camp. You'll stay overnight in spacious tents with king beds, air conditioning, and en suite bathrooms under the stars.

Wadi Rum to Amman
Wake at the Bedouin camp and take a walk around the area, then climb one of the large dunes for panoramic views of the desert. After that, return to Amman for the evening. Your leader can suggest local restaurants if you want to join the group for a final dinner, or you can explore on your own.

Amman
Your trip ends after breakfast. If you've arranged a private airport transfer, you'll be told the pick-up time. If you'd like extra days in Amman, contact your booking agent before the trip to set up additional accommodation.
