Itinerary
- Day 1
Munich
You'll arrive at your hotel in Munich and check in at your own pace. If you get there early in the day, there's time to walk around Bavaria's capital or head to Bad Tölz if you're arriving during Oktoberfest (September 20 through October 5, 2025). Either way, settle in and get ready for cycling to start tomorrow.

- Day 2
Munich to Bad Tölz
Start cycling along the Isar river this morning, passing monasteries and small Bavarian villages through the floodplains. The route follows pretty gentle terrain as you work your way toward Bad Tölz. Once you arrive, the historic old town is worth a walk around, and you'll see why it's known as a rafting destination with so much character to its streets.

- Day 3
Bad Tölz to Jenbach/Schwaz
Continue cycling alongside the Isar, gradually climbing as you head south toward Sylvensteinsee. After crossing into Austria and passing through Karwendel Nature Park, you'll reach the Achensee region with its mountain lake setting. There's an optional boat trip on Achensee if you want to take a break from cycling and see the lake from the water.

- Day 4
Jenbach/Schwaz to Mühlbach
Cycle along the Inn river toward Innsbruck, taking in the landscape as you approach the city. Once there, you can check out the historic old town and see the famous Golden Roof. For the section from Innsbruck up to Brenner Pass, there's a train transfer available since that route has heavy traffic. From Brenner, you'll cycle the old railroad line through Sterzing and on toward Franzensfeste and Mühlbach.

Mühlbach to Dobbiaco
Cycle through Pustertal valley this morning, passing the historic Mühlbacher Klause, which was a border post long ago. Follow the Rienz river as it leads you toward Bruneck. There's an option to visit the folklore museum in Dietenheim if that interests you. Later, continue to Dobbiaco where there's a scheduled bike pit stop so you can take care of any maintenance your bike might need.

- Day 6
Dobbiaco to Calalzo di Cadore
Follow the cycle path built on the former Dolomite railroad today, riding through Höhlensteintal valley. You'll pass Lake Dobbiaco and a war cemetery before the scenery opens up with views of the Three Peaks and Lake Dürrensee. Keep cycling to Cortina d'Ampezzo, where the Sorapis mountain range and Five Towers come into view. After that, head through Boite Valley to end the day in Calalzo di Cadore.

Calalzo di Cadore to Conegliano
Cycle on the newly built bike path heading toward Longarone. This town has an interesting history, having been rebuilt after a devastating tidal wave in 1963. From there, continue on to Conegliano, leaving the mountains further behind as the terrain starts to flatten out.

- Day 8
Conegliano to Venice
Leave the Alps behind as you cycle through flatter terrain today toward Treviso. Along the way, you'll see villas designed by Palladio, showcasing Renaissance architecture. Follow the Sile river as it heads toward the Adriatic, and you'll reach the Venice mainland. By evening, you can explore Venice itself and see the Serenissima with its remarkable buildings.
